Why is he out there? I'll bet Wash sits him tomorrow night - save him for the home games.
Of course, this A's fan is thrilled that the Giants are winning this first game. If the A's can't be playing post-season, I'll root for the other hometown team.
Well, they fought hard. Tomorrow's a new game.
That was ugly.
I'm surprised to hear that any of the Yankee fans are still being nasty. Geesh, move on already. Of course, since the Yankees lost to the Rangers, I suppose that SF would have beaten the Yankees by even more? That makes no sense.
He's usually a DH (Designated Hitter, not dear husband) so he usually never plays in the field.
I'm kind of not believing this. I was living in Dallas when the Rangers started up. This is sort of in the same category as the Saints finally winning.
They hit the ball and scored against awesome Giant pitchers, but the pitching fell apart and they made so many mistakes. Hopefully CJ will hold it together tonight and the bats come alive again. 7 runs scored last night against great Giant pitchers is nothing to be ashamed off, and 7 runs will usually win a baseball game, but not when you let the other team score 11!
But like you said, today is another day....GO RANGERS!!
Lol...I'm not responding on the Yankees thread, but apparently they think that Karma is the reason why the Rangers are losing tonight. Not sure how that works.
But I'm just happy for my Rangers to be at the World Series while all the Yankee fans are wishing their team was there!![]()
I saw that. I kinda reminded them that 1 game doesn't make a series, after all, Yanks did win Game 1 of the ALCS, right?
Obviously, I don't have a horse in this race, but I hate that kind of thing. And honestly, most Yankee fans aren't like those posters. I do get rooting against the team that beat yours (I do it all the time, I was thrilled when the Giants beat the Phillies), but you have to move on when your team loses. But they are probably the fans that say "we won" and "they lost". I can't stand that.
"That's the way baseball go."
Lol!!! I love Ron Washington...even though sometimes I question his madness!
We have seats right next to the dugout and got there really early one day in June.
Here are our seats where we can see into the dugout...

And here's Ron relaxing before a game. Yes, smoking is bad, but I thought it was a cool moment of him alone in the dugout before the action started!

Man...what a pitching match this is tonight! The Giants pitcher is a beast!! Maybe the Yankees should buy him instead of Cliff Lee!!![]()
I know! CJ's not doing bad either. Now if only our offense could get a couple runs on board....
If only Ian's ball had just gone a tiny bit further!! I think they are pulling CJ for the 8th...that is nuts...he is doing just fine!
I hope they pull a miracle out of the butts and win this, but I don't know....
Yeah, I'm getting discouraged. And Ian's ball totally should have been called a run.
