She is pregnant with twins and due begining of next year. I think thats great. She says twins runs in her family so i guess fertility treatments were not involved.

We did a story on this this morning - we reported that she is having a boy and a girl. Now, is it possible to even know gender when only 9 weeks pregnant?? It wouldn't be the first time we reported something wrong!

I'd say it's next to impossible to know the gender at 9 weeks. So either she's further along then they are reporting or they are reporting false information.

we found out we were having twins and the sexes at 15w6d, and that was pretty early. they were very cooperative, though. I would say 9 weeks is way too early to know the sexes. congrats! lots of twins this year!!!!

As far as finding out gender that early, it's certainly too early to do so with ultrasound, but can't they do it with amnio or chorionic villi sampling?? (forgive my spelling on that!)

Amnios are done usually between 15 and 18 weeks. CVS is usually done between 10 and 13 weeks.
