Hi everybody!

Gripette is back, with another trip to wdw in plan!!:hyper:
I've been trying to figure out which deal is better for us and I just can't! I'm all mixed up and need your precious help!

We're planning to arrive May 9th and leave on May 19th in the morning. Don't know yet if we're going to drive or fly. Last year trip was sooooo long in car; drove from Montreal, got sick in the car, bum was sour, 24 hours driving was way too much for me even if we stopped in the middle! I swor that never again I will drive to wdw. But now, I REALLY want to go back and I don't know if we can affort to take the plane. Anyway, we'll see!

The hotel will be ASMo or off-site, that will depend on which deal we can have. We want to stay 10 nights and leave the next morning. So now, what i'm concern about is trying to get the best discount possible (who wouldn't??!). Can you please explain to me what are the deals for us, lucky (sometimes) canadians? Or with the length of my stay, should I buy an annual pass (only one and the others would be 7 days PH plus) to get a better discount on room rate? We (DS6 and DH) got last year a grrrrreat deal on priceline for the hotel (35$US/night at Grosvenor!::yes:: ). I know that never again I will have such a good deal but i'm sure the special at par for canadian is something good.

Is it??

Is the deal that good so we can stay on the site or not??

:headache: :headache:

Grovesnor still seems to be coming up on priceline for around $38-$42. I wouldn't buy an AP just yet because for every AP discount there also seems to be a discount that everyone can use. Keep checking mousesavers.com for this info. Have you thought of crossing the border and flying from there. We drive to Buffalo and fly from there for cheaper flights on Southwest.

We looked into this first at POP Century then at Caribbean Resort.
For 2 rooms, 4 adult and 1 child passes for 4 nights/ 5 days, it came to $18.. CDN. CBR was only $296 more for 2 rooms and passes for the 5 of us.... so we went with the moderate resort instead for May 22 - may 26.
Also got a great deal on flights through JetsGo!
If interested in Canadian@Par Deal it ends on January 26 and there are only a certain number rooms available athe teh discounted rate!

If you can't find a decent deal on airfare from Montreal and don't mind driving to Burlington, Vermont (about 2 hours from Montreal) then I would highly recommend flying JetBlue. I looked up your dates with them and you can fly for about $220 US per person (taxes included). Their planes are beautiful - every seat is like first class and each has their own little TV.

As for a hotel, if the Disney hotels are too pricey for your budget (I can guarantee they will be more than $35/night) then I would recommend asking around the off-site board. They might have some other ideas.

Something else to take into account if you are flying is whether or not you will rent a car. You will have to get from the airport to your hotel somehow whether it is renting a car or using a shuttle service. They all cost money but if you rent a car you will be more flexible as to where you stay whereas if you take a shuttle you would do best to stay on-site or at a downtown Disney hotel.

Good Luck with your planning.
