Confused on rates

About a month ago, I spent some time going into the WDW site and putting in our dates and selections at the different resorts w/DDP and w/o DDP, various ticket options, dates, etc. I then made an excel sheet with all this info. I went back to consolidate some of it and make it neater to present to dh soon. When I went back to double check my numbers, things are coming up way higher. I've looked at the dates are the same that I put in originally. Could the rates be higher right now online due to free dining?

Not really sure.....
When you put in the free dining you are getting the FULL rack rate versus what was available at the time you plugged in your dates. I find that a call to Disney is better to figure it all out. If you have ANY type discount, AAA then you would NOT be able to get the room discounted but you could get FD with the rack rate. Some are finding that they are NOT saving and it depends on How many people and the adult/child ratio and the resort and room picked. The "value resorts" get the greatest savings and usually go faster.
We got FD/mod and are saving about 700.00!

the first time, you probably went under the tab "vacation packages" which then pop up options like "packages under $1600" was clicked on and gave you a cheaper rate?

I have not seen any price increases throughout the year. (I've been searching prices, for months now, as my DH and the older children couldn't decide when we should go.) Also, price increases are usually noted here on the Dis pages... like the stroller rental rates.

Make sure you are purchasing the same exact package/options...
dates,
room location, or view,
ticket options, the web site usually adds on the hopper & water park option,
trip insurance, etc.
