Hi everybody! :bounce:

It has been four years since our last cruise and I think that some things have changed. The last time we went we did the Land/Sea package and took the Disney buses over to the ship. This time we are doing our own transportation and plan to get on the ship as early as possible. That said....

I am planning to make Palo and Spa ressies. When we were on the ship before, they had a set time for Palo ressies and the line was huge (went thru the hall and down the stairs). Seems like we stood there for at least an hour waiting before they opened up to take ressies and it kind of put a damper on the day as we spent so much time waiting in lines.

Is this the way it goes still? I didn't do any spa treatments last time, but plan to this time so I am wondering what I am getting into here.

Things have gotten much more efficient. However, spa and Palo reservations do fill up. They maintain a waiting list, but if you don't get the ressie you want, don't depend on the list. Call them each day and see if anything has opened up. It works--you know the thing about the squeaky wheel.

I've not waited in a line for more than 10 minutes on our last 4 cruises.

Did the lines open right upon embarkation or did they have a set time later in the day?

We were the 5th family on the boat in may and I went directly to rockin bar d, they were already taking ressies. Funny thing was I was the 2nd person in line and all of the tea ressies were already gone. I think that is unfair. I didn't have problems with brunch and dinner though. I guess you have to book a concierge sp? cat. to get tea ressies and not get put on the wait list like we were. What everyone says about going to palo yourself everyday is a good idea, we were never phoned like they said we would be so we went there and got our tea ressie. They told us they had called but there was no message on our phone.

You're right, that really is unfair. I think the same thing happens at Cinderella's Royal Table at the park.
