confused. lots of questions!

I keep reading that there are Fort Wilderness cabins and a resort.
Is the resort the Wilderness Lodge or is it a different one?

Are there small cabins for say... a honeymooning couple?
Would staying in a cabin be cheaper than staying in a resort? (we're open to value resorts.. not too picky. I like themed resorts!)

How much does a golf cart usually cost for a week?

Any spiders or other creepy crawlies? ooh ooh any snakes? Are there snakes?

FH and I are planning a disneyweddingmoon and the cabins sound good for the first few days after the wedding cause we'll.... ahem.. want to be alone... cough cough. lol! TMI. sorry!

last question promise! Would renting DVC points be even cheaper?!

We're on a budget if you can't tell. lol.

OK, let em see if I can answer some of your questions

The WL and FW are different resorts. The WL is a hotel, while FW is a collection of campsites and free standing cabins. But, before you get the picture in your mind of a cabin set off in the woods, the cabins at FW are in a row along a road. Nice, but not what I would call secluded.

If cost is the primary concern, a week in a value resort is less money than the cabins.

Ball park, $50 per day for a golf cart.

Going back to my previous answer, staying in a cabin is not like a private spot in the woods where "anything goes", but it is more secluded than rooms in a hallway in a hotel,

DVC points may save you money, but I'm not sure...

Hi! Welcome to the FW Camping Board!

1. Fort Wilderness Resort/Campground is different than the Wilderness Lodge. They are close to each other -- walking distance -- but separate resorts.

2. I think the cabins are romantic! I would love to spend my honeymoon there! (if I wasn't already married, LOL) But, they are fairly expensive -- about the same as the Deluxe resorts.

3. Golf carts are around $45 per day (give or take)

4. Yes, there are spiders and snakes. But, chances are you wouldn't see them. They won't be in your cabin. Probably. Well, maybe a spider -- but you can get those anyplace.

5. Cabins are a perfect place to be alone! And, you're not "connected" with another room - so you don't have to worry about "noise"

6. Renting DVC points can be a great deal! Check out the DVC boards here on the DIS!
