Hi!
We are taking our friends to SSR for 14 nights in September. We have APs and will have used them for 3 two week trips before they expire plus used them for a 40% discount at The Beach Club in December 03 (when we joined DVC) so we have got GREAT value from them.

I am unsure what to advise our friends to buy. Where do I find the price for a 14 night length of stay pass? Is there a DVC discount on it?

Also, for UK guests only a WDW 10 day World Passport is available to buy at home before departure. The offer runs until 30 Nov and includes admission to all parks, PI, DQ etc, plus one character breakfast. I am thinking this is the best deal they will find and 10 days should be sufficient as we travel for 2 days plus shop and visit some 'off site' attractions. This pass costs £199 (about $360 I think)

I am grateful for any advice, as I have little knowledge or understanding of how the DVC discount for tickets works.

Thanks sooooooooooo much
Mandy (whose husband is amazed by all the stuff she learns on this site, thanks!)::MinnieMo

The European pass may be your best option. The LOS pass using the DVC discount would be over $425 for 10 days. The PAP will $531 for an adult but will cover all 14 days. AP about $318 with tax retail. Depending on their usage habits, a 7 day park hopper plus might present good value as well, especially if they don't use it all. But it would be difficult to reconcile the usage that works best for a plus ticket to your AP. You can get the AP at AAA in FL for about a $10 per pass discount.

To get the 10% discount on the LOS passes, the rules say they must be in your unit though I haven't know DVC to turn people down in this regard.

Thanks Dean, I thought the World Pass offer was good, especially as it includes a character breakfast that we had planned to do anyway. 10 days should easily be enough once you take out our travelling days. Plus our friends are shopaholics and will not be able to resist the outlet malls so that will keep them out of the parks for a day or two!

Thanks for your reply!

$318 is the Florida resident AP rate. A non-Florida resident AP is $403. I think the 10 day pass is the way to go unless they plan to return within a year.

Your right, sorry, didn't pick that up on the AAA page.
