I don't understand how it works for getting married in a state you don't live in.

Will we need to get a license for the state we live in and then bring it to FL to get another license??

Also, when we go to FL, what kinds of documentation will we need to bring with us?

Still a while away for us to get started on, I was just wondering how it works...

This will be a second marriage for my DF, btw (divorced), but I didn't want to ask him about it because I don't like to bring up things that have anything to do with.....the ex!! :headache: :rotfl:

Think of it like, oh, I dunno, a hunting license - you get the license for the place where you want to go kill something! Er... that is, get married!

All you need to get a Florida marriage license is you driver's license. People who are divorced just put down the date that their marriage ended - they don't need divorce papers. There have been a couple of threads about this lately, so if you do a search you'll turn up way more comprehensive answers than this one!

Oh, and you can either go pick it up in person at a courthouse (Disney gives you the info in your packet) or get it by mail through Brevard County. But you don't need to get it til about 6 weeks beforehand cuz it expires after 60 days.
