Confused about discounts!

We are planning on going March 26 through April 2. So far my best quote for the 5 of us was $2600 at POR. I need to get that down some for DH to agree to stay on-site .

These discounts confuse me though I know there aren't any out for that time yet and I am gaging from others posts that there might be some out soon. So when they come out do you have to book immediately? Like do they only apply to a certain number of rooms or is it ok to wait a few days and play around with the discounts and rates?

Also are the discounts they come out with usually a better deal than the AAA discount? We have AAA but wasn't sure if the others are better or if the AAA is just as good.

This whole Disney thing has my head spinning.

Yes, there are only a certain number of rooms available for each discount. If a discount comes out that will help you, it's best to jump on it. You can always call back and change it if another, better discount comes out. My advice is be sure of what hotel you want...down the line when you're adding in costs of flights, souvenirs, hoppers, etc and you decide to do a value instead of a moderate - it may be too late to change.

I can't help you with AAA prices...Im sure someone else can, though!

We are open to resorts but since there are 5 of us we would have to book two separate rooms or the suite at All Star Music which right now is more expensive than Port Orleans

It's my understanding you can have 5 guests at POR.

Yes that is the only reason we are planning on staying there instead of the value resorts
