Conflicting Stories about Reserving with CAA

When I book with Disney, trying to get a CAA discount will they want my CAA number then? Or can I book it and just give it to them when I get there??

They never ask for my number either. They will tell you that the desk will want to see it when checking in.

When I booked our reservation back in July for this upcoming Feb through CRO, I had to give them the CAA/AAA card #. And the CM told me that when I arrived I would need to have the card with me then as well.
