Confirmed MSEP to stop and move to DL Oct. 9th

I don't get why everyone says Spectromagic can't come back because it was scrapped ............. they could build another one, same basic floats, same music ......... and call it Spectromagic. The MSEP is not the original.

Well - you are correct in that they could build a new parade and call it Spectromagic. But I would say it would be highly unlikely that they would duplicate it in any significant way. The most you might get is have the last floats shift from white to color - but the IP they focus on just wouldn't cut a lot of that parade. But if you are saying that they CALL whatever they build "Spectromagic", sure that could happen.

No need to get angry. Hong Kong definitely matters in the big picture of things.

You believe what you want to and I'll believe what I want to. From what I have heard and believe MK will not have a night parade for a while meaning well into 2017.

They still have fireworks so they won't be shutting down early.

I'm just reporting what I've heard. I have sources on both sides saying both things but right now I have more sources saying no night parade at MK.

Has there been any talk of scheduling other entertainment later in the evening or running another FOF at night? I would think MK could do at least that. It's not the best long term solution but it would give them time figure things out. This should be the next thing they work on after ROL IMO.

As for PTN, Mice Chat seems pretty confident that PTN is at DL to stay. Nothing official from DL on that so who knows?

Also, yes, PTN in HKDL does count! They were willing to bulid DL's PTN along with their own! Who knows what would have happened if HK didn't want to deal with DL's along with HKDL's. I Don't think DL was real close to a night parade before PTN came along.

Some did speculate that FoF would run at night. It does have some lighting features where it could if they wanted to. However it seems WDW doesn't want to put forth the effort to do that.

Disneyland has announced that PTN will run on select nights at disneyslnd through the rest of the year. Many people I follow have said PTN will then get a refurb that is needed. Once MSEP arrives in October at DL it will then get a large refurb for its January debut. After it ends its limited run its expected it will stay in DL.

WDW needs PTN. It's an awesome parade that blows away MSEP. It's exactly what WDW needs.

I don't know if the Disney execs agree, although I admit I don't know any more than your do. Even without MSEP, I assume that MK will continue to be absolutely packed for Celebrate the Magic and Wishes. I think the "powers that be" believe the crowd needs to be disperse to other parks, such as AK.

They're being very vague on the plans for PTN after the holidays at DL but I think a move to WDW been pretty much shut down by Anehiem.

I think they are being vague to keep the DL people quiet. I still foresee the parade will come to MK sometime next year. They won't be running 2 night parades at DL and MSEP will probably run for year or so I would guess before it retires.

I would t hold your breath on PTN coming to Orlando. A poster over on WDWMagic just posted today that there was a combination of reasons (including the reluctance of DL to give up the parade) that will prevent it from being sent to the east coast. There was also concern about the size of some of the units actually fitting the parade route in WDW apparently. Needless to say, I think that PTN coming to WDW is dead in the water unless they build a new version (which I don't see happening).

Disney has said they have no current plans for it to come to WDW. Sure that could change in the future but as of right now it isn't coming.

Or to Springs? I hear the shops are not getting the number of customers they were expecting so Disney may be thinking of trying more radical ideas to drive numbers up there before they start losing some contacts.

Maybe it was the turn around Town Square? I know at DL they didn't have to circle Town Square like they do in the MK.

Yes that was a concern, the town square circle. The Mack truck might not be able to make that turn.
