Confirmed MSEP to stop and move to DL Oct. 9th

I agree.. In fact i KNOW MANY people that do not take the time to watch the MSEP. But that is why I said it more of a persnal feeling

Interesting. I'd hope that something new is being planned to replace it in time for the 50th. If they want to save on operational costs, I wouldn't mind a seasonal parade.

they will have to come up with something for the summer, that is why the rumor is that MSSEP would come back. there are five years until the 50th as this year marks the beginning of year 45. I highly doubt that MK will go five years without a night time spectacular. Save money or not, the guests won't like it at all.

Moving an entire parade is not cheap. I can't imagine they would move it to dlr just to move it back 6months later. I think MSEP coming back for next summer extremely unlikely.

I don't think MSEP is coming back. I also don't think the general guest is going to care as much as some of us think. Unless the guests complain and don't show up I don't think anything will change for a while.

the general guest will care when the park closes at 7 pm and they pay over a 100 for a shortened day. also it's not the regular or once in awhile visitor that runs things these days. Ap's and DVC have alot more pull. and they listen. they also pay attention to chat boards especially this one but the best thing to do is write or email guest services and let them know. they may give you a "pat" answer but they pay attention and plans are made or changed depending on guest response. that's why they have all those surveys as well.

everything i've read says it's staying in DL and being brought back after a refurb for peak seasons.

According to all available info coming from Disney itself, Paint the Night will not be coming to WDW.

It is a great parade, possibly Disney's best (I also listen to the soundtrack a lot after finally seeing it a couple of weeks ago). I get why it wouldn't come to WDW, but I don't see why DL should get MSEP too. Hopefully, MK has a totally new nighttime parade in the works.

There is a inside information and there is published information and for a couple of months now they have not been in sync. The published information is carefully worded. There is no for sure answer either way. We just have to wait and see what will finally happen.

Spectromagic was destroyed. It is in a landfill somewhere.

I get why it wouldn't come to WDW, but I don't see why DL should get MSEP too.

DL gets MSEP because the version in Orlando was on loan from DL. It's their parade and they decided they wanted it back for whatever reason. With the OneDisney idea scrapped, DL could demand it back and there wasn't much Orlando could do - it's not their property. If they would have rehabbed Spectromagic like they planned instead of being cheap they wouldn't be in this predicament right now. However Orlando is probably fine with it as it saves them money.

Yeah but that was done in a very different climate in the parks. There's just no way Disney would spend all the money to update Spectromagic anew, update the technology and re-choreo.

No different than creating a new parade. Not saying it is happening, just saying the belief that it is impossible is silly.
