Confirmed FP+ changes, effective Monday!

Oh that's good. Can you book them on the App too?

So if we were going to park hop could you have your 3 in MK for the morning for instance and then have a look and see if you could maybe grab some at another park for the afternoon?

Everything I have read states in park kiosk only at the moment however it us still evolving so who knows where we will be in a few months.

Just speculating here. But is it possible to use only one FP+ for a top tier attraction and then book another whilst at the parks to make the best of slow waits - or do you have to use all three before picking T1?

It's definitely a step in the right direction, but it seems restrictive nonetheless.
So you can hop, but presumably you can't book a new FP until you get to the next park - OK I guess since you couldn't get FPs before you got there with the old system.
As the comments below the blog post point out it's no good for guests that have late FP+s booked, but it's better than nothing.
Hopefully it will 'evolve' further...

It's not going to be much good for anyone in my opinion and changes very little.

I anticipate them leaving the kiosks as the only way to book your additional FP's for the foreseeable future. If they open it up on the app they have less control over it.

Of course if you want to ride Space Mountain at 9.05 am with a FP when you could have walked on through Standby, so that by noon you can go stand in a line to find out whether the Barnstormer is available for 6 pm ...... I must have a jaded view on this. I don't see this changing anything much for the average guest. This seems like a marketing psychological smoothing over IMO.

I'm sure eventually the app technology will catch up with this and let's hope so as that's what's really needed to make this a great idea. If the app becomes available to book the extras then you can rope drop, get three in park one to have multiple turns on the biggies, book another biggie for your evening park and go back to your resort and relax knowing a great rise is waiting for you in the evening.

You're absolutely right - and this won't help standby lines either. Certainly for the likes of those of us who had the old system honed down to a fine art these are slim pickings...

I am not that worried about the extras.

We did MK the Monday before Easter - we had 3 FP booked for the evening. In the morning DD & I just rode standby. We did a lot: BTMMR, PotC, Pooh, Mermaid, Stitch, Laugh Floor, TTA, Magic Carpets and shopping! (I can't remember but I feel like we did something else).

In the evening we went back and had FP for Belle, JC & Speedway which we did along with Tiki Birds and watched wishes.

Didn't stand in a line over 20 minutes all day! The park was seriously packed though and when leaving I ended up carrying DD out for fear of losing her :crowded:

It is a step in the right direction and for me, it mainly shows Disney are still not finished with this system and will keep refining.

What I will say though, is I am so pleased I am going next year and not this year. I am hoping everything will be finalised by then and we'll all know where we stand and what works and what doesn't! It's tough for those that have gone this year and have had to deal with queues and unexpected stuff - but I guess it's part and parcel of a work in progress! :crazy2:

It's not been as bad as some reports - pre-Easter is one of the busiest weeks of the year and we only had 4.5 days - we rode all the headliners and everything else we wanted. We did skip some things like Captain EO & Ellens Energy Adventure but only because we have done them in December had no real reason to redo them.

The only "headliner" we didn't ride was TSM - but none of us are that fussed by it. We did RnR with our FP which all of us enjoy so much more :goodvibes

I have to say by late afternoon there really aren't any good FP left - I did check periodically by going to change one of mine. Might work off season but peak season not a hope. Mind you that's no different to the old FP system.
