Just realized with borrowing we have enough points for our entire family to do an OKW GV but I'm wondering what the layout is. I think 2 beds in one bedroom, sleeper sofa in the living room? What am I missing?

And how many bathrooms?

The accommodation for the one we stayed in had:

1 x king bed in master bedroom, en-suite jacuzzi, shower, wc
2 x doubles in bedroom upstairs, en-suite bath, shower, wc
2 x doubles in bedroom upstairs, en-suite bath, shower, wc
1 x sleeper sofa in living room, separate shower, wc off living area next to laundry room
open plan living / dining area with full kitchen

3 bedrooms, one sleeper sofa, 4 bathrooms in total

I believe one br upstairs is 2 queens and one is two doubles.
No Balconies on upstairs brs but a large one off the main floor.

Yes, except that one of the upstairs bedrooms has 2 queen beds and one has two double beds. Each has a bathroom and there is an extra 3/4 bath with shower in the downstairs hall (not of the laundry room) for anyone staying in the living room pull out. BTW, the new pull outs at OKW are very comfy! The laundry room is HUGE and could be used as a bedroom!

I was looking a pictures of the villas at OKW last night. Go to the Disney website. Instead of clicking on Disney World on the destinations screen click on Disney Vacation Club. On the next screen click "see our resorts", choose OKW. It will say view 360 room tour. It will show you the entire villa. It takes you room to room and upstairs. Hope this helps you. ::MinnieMo

Does Anybody Know If Any Of These Grand Villas Have Bathrooms With Roll-in Showers On The Ground Floor

Yes, there is at least one HA building for GVs. I believe it is building 19. Not sure if the roll in shower is in the hall bath though. It might only be in the master.

Upstairs has 2 bedrooms. One of the bedrooms has 2 Queen size beds. The other bedroom has 2 Double beds. Each of these bedrooms has its own full bathroom. Downstairs is the master bedroom with a King size bed and a full bath with a jacuzzi tub. The living/dining/kitchen area is an open floor plan, sort of a "great room" effect. There is another bathroom with toilet, sink, & shower in the hallway downstairs. Off the kitchen is a large laundry room with a full-sized side by side (not stacked) washer & dryer. Essentially, you have 4 full baths.

We had 7 adults stay in an OKW GV in January, and there was plenty of space and plenty of bathroom accomodations.

FYI, we actually had 12 in our GV last October, and all but 2 were big adults. We never felt cramped in the common areas, but I guess I can't speak for the folks staying in the upstairs rooms, since one of those rooms had 5 people in it. One family has 3 kids (2 teens and 1 10 YO), and they wanted to all be in the same room. They chose the room with the 2 queen beds and the 10 year old slept on an air mat on the floor. There were two on the pull out in the living room, but it was never an issue because they were early risers. I must say, the laundry room got a good workout with that many folks! We kep the cartons of pop and dirty clothes in there, and the washer and dryer seemed to be going non-stop! It made we long for our usual 2 bedroom accommodations, but I just love the extra space in the GV master! It made us feel cramped in the master of the 2 bedroom in December! ;)

About H/A GV's, we have one booked in September. There are three with roll-in showers. One is on the ground floor, and the other two are in a newer building with an elevator on the second floor. In all three, only the main floor is accesible, so for our party, my parents will have the master since my dad is in a wheelchair.

Do you know if the roll in is only the master or is it the hall bath as well?

Not positive, but I think it was only in the master. I had a heck of a time getting answers to these questions, even when I called OKW directly - even there I had a tough time with people even knowing how many there were. But they do guarantee H/A, so at least we won't be surprised that way.

My Dad's disease is progressive so we're not sure if he'll be completely unable to walk by then. He's still talking about going upstairs to sleep (they want my husband and I to have the master because of the space) and I don't think that will happen or that we'd let him anyway because I don't want him to fall, but if he dose end up upstairs somehow, he'd just take showers in our shower, and we'd use the hall shower downstairs.

That was way more info than you asked for, or course, but the impression I was given was that there was only one roll-in shower, and absolutely, the upstairs was not wheelchair accessible.

At SSR the GV's are accessible on the second floor if you leave the unit, take the building elevator up, and re-enter the unit on it's second floor - there is another door. But we didn't have that many points, so here we are, and I don't know if the showers are roll-in on the second floor or not. And frankly, I read so many good things about OKW, I'm excited to try it, especially in a GV.

We had an H/A GV in Building 63 or 65 (can't remember exact building) which was one of the new buildings with an elevator. The roll in shower was only in the master bedroom. The other bath downstairs had a step into shower with door, etc.

Were the kitchen cabinets altered for wheelchairs?

They were modifed somewhat as I recall--I think the cabinet under the sink was changed so that a chair could fit under there--I don't remember anything else though.
