Confessions of the Resort Changers

Oh, you guys, now I can tell my DH I am not a freak. I change my ressies several times. Do I go for more days cheaper resort, or better resort less days, and WL has had my name on it for years. One of these days I will stay there:rolleyes: I can feel it. Now how many are like me, even after the decision is made final or after the fifteenth call and the CMs know you by your voice:rotfl2: still are stressed until arrival day that you made the wrong choice?
I am biting my nails just thinking about it and its only May, I have 6 months left. Next month I have to set up ADRs that is another nightmare all on its own.:rotfl: :lmao:

I would go for less days and stay at WL. I did the longer stay and went to POFQ last year. Spent the whole time pining over WL :sad2: This year, I didn't even look at the moderates. I went right for WL.

I have to admit, I have been checking out BC (completely out of our league) It looks nice though.

Honestly, if you haven't stayed at WL or another deluxe, maybe you should stay the longer time. I was okay everywhere else until I stayed at WL. I was hooked.

Where are you considering staying for the longer time? Also, do you spend a lot of time at the resort?

deide71, :lmao: I know exactly what you're talking about w/ the ADRs. I didn't mention this earlier but today when I called CRO she told me that she was waiting for the system to come up where she had confirmed the change. And she says to me," It seems if there's been alot of changes that it slows the system down. " I told her, " Well sister, it looks like we could be here awhile then." :scared:

belle2594, YOU ARE NOT A FREAK.:rotfl2: DH thinks I'm the biggest goon ever the way I post on this board. BTW, where are you staying now?

That's why I think DH is so reluctant to stay at a deluxe. Seriously, I have issues and this would be a MAJOR problem.

ktink, it has been more than a major problem here. DH has been working crazy hours and weekends. Everytime he comes home on Sunday I ask if the Disney trip is paid off yet? He says,"Soon!".

I do sometimes wish I had not gone any higher than AS Music where we stayed before DS5 and DS2. We enjoyed life and it was much cheaper. Now, I feel spoiled. DH and I both agreed (at least he did, I had my fingers crossed) that we would stay at values or mods after the children were out of the nap stage. I just spend my time figuring out how to get a job with a great bonus so we can upgrade. :rotfl2:

I started going to DW in 1974 and have gone almost every year since. As a kid we always stayed off property. It wasn't until I met my husband that I stayed on property. I would still take a value Disney resort over any off property place. I think it completes the experience for me.

This DEC. we are staying at POR. for 6 nights. Taking the DN(ephews and niece) with our two DDs so cannot afford two rooms at the deluxe, but have changed from POR to CSR (which we have stayed at before and love) back to POR. :lmao: We started our first trip in 2004 at ASMo but then upgraded and DH says if he has to suffer through WDW he will do it at a moderate. We are poor people so overtime is on his schedule a lot too.

FYI talking about how wonderful WL is IS NOT HELPING ME! (just joking)LOL:rotfl: I'll be thinking about you over there in your WL by the fire while I am dealing with five kids at stinky old POR.:confused3 Not right man, just not right. Pouting out loud. Hee Hee:upsidedow

POR is supposed to be beautiful. I stayed at POFQ and it was really nice. Very small in comparison, and you get picked up/dropped off first, so you always get a seat.

My DS's loved the dragon pool.

Btw, did you know that ASmusic has suites? Not sure if that would work for you.

Not to confuse things, of course :guilty:

Belle,

I'll let you know ALL about WL when we come back. (Unless we end up at AKL) in which case I will be on the boards asking you about WL.

Ktink, don't worry about calling CRO. If you want to change resorts do it until you are completly satisfied with your choice. I agree with the poster about stressing until you leave for vacation. I don't want to spend my entire vacation wishing we had stayed at AKL.

I know but hubby has become just as spoiled as me. He likes the quiet of the modrates over the value. I think He pretends we are not in Disney but are in the mountains somewhere. He is a spoiler who is happiest on the drive home day:confused3

But what if you stay at AKL and wish you were at WL LOL.:rotfl2:

Sorry to hear that, you'll have to work on him. I know my DH would rather be in Aspen, CO skiing, and I would like that too, as a separate trip, but for now, this is the best trip for all of us to do together.

I blame DH for me being more into it, because he proposed in front of Cindy's Castle. Now I want to go every year. It has a lot of great memories for both of us.

:flower3: oops, I posted before I read your WL comments. I won't mention WL again, except to say that we are going in August/September and the only fire we will be sitting around will be the sun shinning on us while we brave the 100 degree weather.

Well I still go over there and eat at WCC. I can dream!!:cloud9:

nonsmom,
That is quite a romantic proposal. Even more to envy you for. Just gotta kee rubbing it in, don't yah!:lmao:

stepdisney, it's not so bad, the lines generally are not too long at that time of year, and you can get up early and leave mid day to take a swim in the beautiful pool at WL. That is what we plan on doing anyway. It works well, especially if you are at MK for the day.

Also, don't forget your fan misters. We bought them last year. They really help.:cool2:

Its okay you enjoy your WL. I have gone in August it's not to bad. Take an afternoon break if you can. Enjoy that beautiful pool!

Belle, sorry I didn't mean to make you feel bad.

You are going to have a great time. You will be there in Dec. right? I have never been there for the Christmas decorations. I would love it. DH and I had a Dec. wedding. Also, you will not be dying of the heat like us in Sept. :hippie:

Nonsmom,

I saw something called a cold pack which was a backpack that you put cold water in and it ran on battery. It kept the water ice cold so the mist was cool all day. That would work for us. We purposely did not purchase hoppers because we anticipate mornings at the parks and afternoons at the pools and evening shows at the parks we visited in the morning. Too hot to hop.

Belle, I'll meet ya at the WCC. Pass the (Heinz) I won't say the other word!! Actually, I have never been to the WL, not even to eat. This will be our first visit there. We have been to AKL to eat at Boma's and we walked all around the place and I said to my DH, "I'm going to stay here next trip." This may be why I am having the anxiety over the choice to stay at WL.

You did not make me feel bad I was just joking. I hate this computer talk, you can never really understand someones's tone.
Sorry I have a bit of a sarcastic sense of humor. ;)

I bet you guys are going during free dining, I have never been able to work that into the school schedule. I hear Sept. is not to crowded, better have those ADRS though.popcorn::

I am sorry, I just noticed you guys are from up North, being from NC I have never had much of a problem witht he change in temp. to Florida. I fyou stay out of the heat in the afternoon you will be fine though.

We are opposites, I have never eaten at Boma only WCC (loved it), so that is why I am in love with WL. I thought it was beautiful. How did you like Boma? We are thinking of trying it this trip on DDP.
