I am a resort changer addict too. So far on this trip WL woods view, POR, back to WL but courtyard view, changed to CSR and now at the Poly.

My DH is like just let me know when we get there where we will be staying.

I can't wait until I have to pay off the vacation package so I won't be able to make any more changes.

stepdisney, that's a great price on airfare! I'm hoping we can get a good deal! I'm still thinking about the resort and if I really want to change. To tell the truth, I'm beginning to be embarrassed when I call CRO.

As far as the Poly conceirge. I wish.

Good luck on deciding. When I talked to a CM about a week ago she told me that the construction wouldn't be that bad. She also said that panic had broken out on one of the message boards. I confirmed that's where my fears came from. Anyway she really reassured me that they would do their best to accomodate their guests during this time. Afterall you're spending a pretty penny on staying there so I'm sure they will do their best to keep your room away from the construction areas.

I can't help but to smile when I come to "our" place here on the boards!

Honestly, I was becoming too addicted to the boards...abd to pull away That and I have to chase a 10 mth olad around all day, am 40 BTW! Dh is busy with work so I have all the duties around the house, Ds13 and DD10 and a DD17 getting ready for prom! Plus my mom lives in the "mother in law" suite in the back of the house!! My mom is a cancer survivor but now she has another cancer affecting her.
Needless to say....this is my place to escape With all you crazy resort changers like myself!!!

Ok...ktink......I think you may change one more time before we hit that deadline where we cant change unless we pay a fee I predict CBR...it will be so cool after your kids see the third Pirates movie.....However. ASMu looks awesome!!! And is suppose to be less crowded than the other All Stars.

stepdisney....you had an awesome CM!!! Stay at WL...who knows what kind of notes he put on your ressie!! You may end up in a Deluxe room for all we know!!
All I know, it will be a crime if we dont make a point of at least meeting to say hi and giggle at our addiction

Ok, it's been a few days since I changed reservations and now I have a situation. I switched from Pop to AKL, but they only had standard. So far I can't upgrade. DH will be really mad when he finds out I switched it at all, particularly if we are not at least in a pool view, preferably savanna. Should I keep AKL standard and hope something opens up between now and August or should I switch back to Pop and wait and see if something in savanna opens up before I change? I don't know what I was thinking when I changed to begin with! Resort changers, help!!

I would hang onto the AKL ressie and wait to see if something opens up. I think new things open all the time. Just keep checking on the Disney website, pretend you are making a new ressie and see what is available. If it is open, call right away. I was able to make my change and add another night at a separate time. However, I got the only room they had left that week for WL woodsview.

Don't give up hope, all it takes is one room to open.

I forgot to mention I booked the package with a discount code, so while AKL has rooms available, they have none other than standard available with the discount.

Stay at AKL....that is the start, and keep watching , like nonsmom said, I still pretend to make a ressie just to see what is available...just make sure you do it on the Free Dining page I did the same thing...a room can become available , and abt 2 hrs later, it showed it wasnt available!

So....who is in a resort pickle???? Lets hear it!!

ME!!!! I want so much to change to Poly, or BC or WL. I am taking my parent on this trip to thank them for everything they have done for me and the kids. they paid for their air, helped with the rental car and I covered the rest. I changed us from AS Sports to POFQ, because I loved it there, they don't know that yet. I would still love to surprise them and upgrade, I know they would love the BC, after seeing the rooms when my sister stayed there, my daughter wants the Poly, I would love either, my youngest wants POP, so hey I haven't made any one happy yet with POFQ, but then again my kids have no idea we are even going, since we are going to DL soon I haven't mentioned WDW yet. I just feel so compelled to make this the best trip for my parents. I would love to just be able to walk to Epcot. I need another job that's what I need. I just can not afford the price difference for 2 rooms. So sad....

I forgot to tell you that I am also an ADR changer addict too. One thing I found out last time when I revised my ADR's once again is that they know which ones you have cancelled already.

Plus I had ADR's under three different phone numbers, home, cell, mom's #. I sometimes use my mom's name for making an ADR due to the fact I am embarassed. The nice CM went through all my ADR's with me and got everything under my name and one phone number. She was laughing and I was morified.

Right now I am down to two ADR's that I might cancel, but I think I am pretty much set on what I have.

I am so unsure (like WL vs. AKL) but I am holding steady at yes to WL and yes Spoodles. (subject to change, again, today....) (this is my new disguise).

They sure do. I found out since I had reservations under phone #1, #2 and #3. That sounds pathetic, anyway when I went to cancel reservations under #3 since I was too lazy to call back to cancel a reservation while I was making another ADR with phone #1 and cancelling another one. The CM was able to transfer that reservation using phone #1, but she told be she couldn't transfer my cancelled reservation to phone #1 since I cancelled them already with phone #3. She said lets go down all your ADR's to make sure you are all set since I see you have been going back a forth. Me never... LOL.

So we went date by date and then found out I had another one on one day that she didn't have so I gave her phone #2 and there it was so she transferred that one to phone #1 so now all my reservations show up under phone #1. Again she couldn't transfer my cancelled reservations under phone #2 to phone #1. Of course I blamed DH for making that reservation and using my cell # and blamed my mom for making reservations too.

All I have to say is thank goodness I have Vonage and unlimited phone calls.

Oh my gosh do I belong here!

I have changed our ressies so many times my husband says: "just tell me where we are staying when we get there!"

Plan A: ( We are DVC members, but I thought I would save the rest of our points for this year and get free dining). 2 connecting rooms @ Pop 9/22-9/30.

Plan B: Discovered we had 34 points that could not be banked into next year (they were banked from last year). The tought of losing theese points drove me crazy. I really didn't want the hassle of renting them out. I decided to book a 2 br @ the Beach Club our last night to use them up.

Plan C: The 2br @the Beach Club used 60 points. That is a lot. It was high because it was a weekend....grrrh...decided to switch the Beach Club night to Sunday the 23'd (only 30 points) and keep our Pop ressie as well. The 2 rooms @Pop were $180, the dining plan for our family would be 110. I figured I spend $70 to save 30 points.

Done! Or am I ?

Plan D: After thinking about it for a few weeks, I just cannot get excited about Pop. We are used to having space in our rooms. We are not park commandos, and really enjoy the resorts. Balconys and the washer and dryer are such a blessing on vacation. Soooooo.....on to plan D:

Old Key West! We have never stayed there, but the rooms are supposed to be huge. The grounds look lovely. My husband could bring along golfing buddy. Okay OKW in a 2br (1330 sqft!) 9/22-9/29. Offsite somewhere for the last night. Only 7 nights of dining now....that's fine...we booked a 2ts (Yachtsman) so we change it to Concourse. Done? Are you kidding?

Plan E: Kay, so golfing buddy doesn't want to go! So the wheels start spinning again. If we stay at the Poly (I've really been wanting to stay there lately, can't imagine why) 9/22-9/25, then move to OKW we would get free dining for three nights (well, not really free when the room is 325 a night...Disney math) and save 44 points for next year. This also eliminates the need to move offsite for the last night. So far I like it. I'm booked!


Oh no,...evil plan F is just hatching... (OKW 9/22-9/28....AP rate? for Beach Club 9/28-9/30. Saves 50 points and rooms cost much less than Poly plan E, but 2 days without the dining plan....)

Stay tuned, this could get uglier .

Also I must say that disneybride get's A+ for predicting my resort. We changed today to CBR. I don't know why I've been so DIFFICULT this time. DH just said, "So we're not changing ANYMORE, right?" I assured him we weren't. I think I used my last get out of jail card so I'm not pressing my luck w/ the family.

We are holding steady at WL but my DH did promise to sit down with me tonight after the children are in bed (soon) and look at some of the pictures that have me gaa gaa over AKL. If he agrees, he will be the one to have to break it to my DS.....I can't stand to see his face. I don't want him to think he made a bad choice. Maybe we should wait until next time for AKL. (Hope I'm not making anyone seasick with the back and forth.) Deide71, I feel your pain. I'm currently thinking of Option G for you, it will come to me in a minute. What is it about us that we can't keep those wheels from turning? See before I called and booked CBR today I was thinking out the pros and cons. Well I think DH and DDs and a friend of mine just cringe when I start to ask a question because they know it's Disney related. Anyway DH didn't want to listen to the pros and cons so I talked them out w/ my friend. We ended up flipping a coin and it was heads, which we had chosen to be CBR. And then my thoughts were confirmed when Disneybride suggested the new Pirates movie. Ta Da.

Now my ADRs and resort is chosen and I won't allow myself to call CRO anymore. Although I have one more call to set up ME when we schedule our flights.

Oooooooh, don't even get me started on my ADR's. I must have made 3 dozen calls to change them.

Eight days of dining, six days of dining, change ADR's.

MNNSHP change ADR's.

Resort change, change park days, change ADR's.

Adding extra guest, change ADR's.

No more extra guest, changing resorts, changing park days, eliminating MNNSHP (save $$$$ for new resort change) Change ADR's.

As we are a family of 5 going during the free dining promotion, the restaurant ressies are gettin puuuuurty slim. If this keeps up we will have to eat at Olivia's or Biergarten every night of our vacation....never seem to have a problem getting a ressie at those two...
