Has anyone stayed in the condos in kissimmee? What's with we can't give you the address of the house till you get there? Why? How can we plan out our trip, streets wise, if we dont' know where the condo is? Any info on this?
:confused3 :cheer2: :confused3 :cheer2: :confused3

I'd be very cautious if someone won't give you the address of the house you're renting. Some of the homes can be a half hour or more away from the parks, and the drive in the morning can take up to 45 minutes or more depending on traffic. Personally, I wouldn't rent from anyone who wouldn't give me an exact address to map distance with.

If you have booked through an agency they usually won't give you the address before arrival just in case something happens they have no control over -such as the owner selling the home or changing management companies or there being a problem at the last minute -all of which will result in the home being taken off the agency inventory. If it is an individual owner usually you get the details either with the balance payment or within a timescale determined by the owner -the details of which should be on the paperwork you may have received.

Now, in many of the pool homes I've rented I didn't get the address and such until the final deposit was sent and cleared. Usually only about 6-8 weeks before out trip. I knew the development of the home, but not the actual location of the home. This has varied from owner to owner. I found this to be true when we've rented in the smokey mtns too. I think it's to stop be w/ ill intent (who never wanted to rent, but possibly rob). Now, if I couldn't even get the subdivision location, I wouldn't go that route.

I do have the address of the company renting the house. They gave me the name of the subdivision it's in. But no actual address. The deposit was paid early this month. It's just frustrating trying to coordinate everything when you don't know exactly where you'll wind up. It's the first time we're going and first time we've ever rented a condo. So as you can tell it's all new to me. I'm flying from tx and my best friend is comming from mi so where will we meet? Where do I go from the airport? So confused... and then to top it all off the first day at the park I have adr's to princess breakfast at 9.05. So then i'm probably leaving at 6 something to get there on time... and it's almost time for me...
very very :confused3 :confused3 :confused3 :confused3 :confused3

Hi...if you can give us the name of the developement or the condos, I'll bet we can fill in a lot of blanks and give you good read on your location, the condos and what to expect...Ted

Well tednvon, the address of the office for the condo's is 1400 W Oak St, Kissimmee, FL 34741. The subdivision is Indian Creek, the street name is Bear Creek Court, it is with Prestige Vacation Rentals.
So if there is any help you can provide. Thank you sincerely...

If it makes you feel any better, the same thing happened to us when we rented a villa through a management company this past February. I was stressed that I didn't know where we were going to be. They wouldn't tell us where we were until we picked up our welcome package from the pick up box. Well, when we picked it up and drove to the address that we were staying at, we found out they had upgraded us from a 3 bdrm condo to a 4 bdrm house! It was so nice.
Good luck.

Indian Creek is nice. Do you need directions from the airport? To WDW from there?
To make your ADR at 9:05 you WON'T have to leave at 6!!!!!!! 8am is PLENTY time enough! trust me on this, Indian Creek is right around the corner from me and I can be in MK, on Main Street in 20 min or less!!!!!!

:) I would try to relax. With knowing the name of the development you should be able to get your "directions" ahead of time. Do everything from the main entrance. These developments are no bigger than your average housing development anywhere. So, at best you'll be no more than 1-2 minutes from the main entrance.

So dougsmom98, you know what I mean? Wow... Well then mom2of2 your notes have calmed me down even more. I think I just need to chill out... :cool1:
Think of things I still need and focus on that. I'll worry about getting there when i'm there right? Also it's nerve wracking because that first day there in the park with the adr's in my daughter's :wizard: 10th birthday celebration. But, I'll chill I promise...

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR ALL OF YOUR WORDS OF ADVICE AND HELP!!!

I WILL CHILL :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

Hi again...I am pretty familiar with Indian Creek. Friends stayed there last year and we lived for 3 months this winter in Indian Ridge just down the road a mile or so. We Drove by it every day.

I am with Martina here...I do not think there are any condos in Indian Creek, just very very nice newer homes...the only kicker here is, and don't let this scare you, Indian Creek has been divided in two by a new interstate highway that is being constructed at this time...the construction is well below the level of the homes and should not affect your vacation. Worst case scenario is some extra dust on a very windy day. Also maybe some construction noise during the day.

These are very very nice homes and I think, if it is Indian Creek, you will be in a home, not a condo.
Here is a map of all the developements in the area Indian Creek is straight south of Animal Kingom, south of 192 about two miles just off Sand Hill Rd.

I think you will be pleased if it a home Indian Creek...Ted

There are only houses in Indian Creek, no condos. I drove down Bear Creek Court and it's only houses.
It's a nice sub-division.

and Ted.....I know Indian Ridge very well :)

Good info Grandpa Ted... This map looks excellent... It give a very very good idea of what's around... I don't know if it's a house or condo. It realy means the same to me. But home or condo, whatever I think i'll have lots of fun... Thank you all for your input and if theres anything more, send it my way, I'll be checking this...
