First stay at a 2bdrm coming up, Just wondering if anyone has travelled across canadian/us boarders with things like salt/pepper/sugar/coffee etc. are these allowed so long as not carryon? Only dry goods I am asking about fruit/juices milk and other stuff i will pick up there.

thanks.

You may want to start by reading the US Customs and Border Patrol (CBP) pages for Travelers:From personal experience ... avoid bringing ziplock baggies of dried seasonings. Not sure what the AU customs folks thought I had ... but my rosemary, oregano and thyme had a difficult time passing inspection. ;)

When traveling to and from Canada, (we were visiting Canada) we brought back dry goods, and some speciality food items back into the states. We just had to declare them. They did not allow fresh fruit, vegetables, or meat.

I always bring my coffee but declared it .
Last time I've had a one bedroom and have brought my steak spice, oregano, basilic without any problem. I've taken salt, pepper and sugar at the SSR counter
