Concourse Steakhouse

We are going to be in WDW Sept 8-11 and my DH wants to eat at least one sit down dinner since last time we were there we had nothing but CS and he didn't really care for it much. He wants to go to a steakhouse. I have always wanted to try the Concourse Steakhouse partially due to it being in the Contemporary. I know California Grill is out of my price range and my DH has already said he doesn't want to eat there he saw it on one of the Travel Channel shows.

So I just wanted opinions on Concourse - I read him the menu from Allearsnet.com and he liked what he heard. Now is the taste of the food as good as it sounds?

I consider Concourse the most underrated restaurant at WDW. The food is properly prepared with a wide selection (as you saw on the menu), the service is good and you can wave to people on the passing monorails. The prices are reasonable and it is not a pretenious place.

On the downside you have this feeling of openness and also the noise overflow from Chef Mickey's.

What is an acceptable dress code for the Concourse Steakhouse. My husband loves to go out for a good steak dinner and I would like to treat him but he is not the type to dress up for dinner. Any suggestions?

Basically anything that is comfortable and not sloppy. Minimum would be a Disney T-Shirt, shorts or jeans, and sandals.

I don't think you have to dress up at all. At least when I was there, those who did were few and far between. Hopefully, someone who was there more recently can help. I was last there a couple of years ago.

Thanks everyone - and thanks for asking about the dress - my DH will be happy to hear that - he hates to dress up in anything more than a pair of quick-dries (surf shorts) and a t-shirt (he does wear Disney t-shirts and they are still nice so that is good!! Gotta love Grumpy's Chopper's) I think I may make ADR for the first time ever!!!
