Yeah, with that difference it's hard.
We did stay at DLH concierge, but we used DVC points...our wallets didn't feel the difference. Made it easier.
Breakfast they always had bagels, pastries, cereal. Coffee (either in to go cup or simple china), tea. The small Dasani water bottles that you could take to go. minute maid apple juice boxes, and sodas. Fruit! Granola bars.
Lunch...Uncrustables, which, if you eat those it's possibly cheaper than getting kid's meals in the park..we don't eat them, they're full of junk (read ingredients! we were so surprised). Goldfish crackers in the same sort of container that they had cereal in with paper cups to take to go.
They set out an hors de ouvres thing beforeish 5...always had a hot appetizer thing in a chafing dish, I don't know how it was b/c it always had meat in it (we're veggie), there were cheeses and crackers and bread, more fruit. And beer or wine! Woo! That was nice.

Of course, it meant we had to not be in the parks to have it...but still, better than a $6 Blue Moon over in DCA, right?
Then they cleared that and set out desserts and coffee/tea/cocoa again.
They also have DVD players in the rooms, and you can check out 2 movies at a time (for 1 day I believe) for free (or rather, included in the rate) and that was nice. Got to see Beverly Hills Chihuahua twice that way, fun movie! Wouldn't have seen it otherwise.
You can be in the lounge for the fireworks...they open the windows so you don't get the glare and it's a nice, but far away, view.
OH, and they also have games you can check out. We played a fun Magic Kingdom game that was sort of like Life in a way.
But like I mentioned...it takes you away from the parks, if you want to get "your money's worth".
