Returned from AKL CL yesterday. We absolutely loved it. The CMs were very helpful & friendly. The offerings were nice, mostly nibbles.

Our room overlooked the Arusha Savanna, we had many animals, but mostly in the late afternoon. It rained Thursday which brought the animals out.

Disney has hooked my DH, he wants CL our next trip.

We went OOP this trip, which worked very well for us. We have done the DDP since 2006 & loved it, but we have changed our habits. OOP worked well for us, with the offerings in the CL lounge we didn't want large meals. We did go to Boma for one dinner, the rest were CS which we split as servings were quite large.

Glad you had a nice trip!

We check in in 5 days. Do you remember any of the food offerings? Also how far down the hall was your room located. Thanks!!!

I just saw you posted that Deb on the BC thread! That is sooooo cool! I think Boys2Men are there during our stay. We are staying CL so I will have to keep my eyes out. Thanks for heads up!

:-)

Boys2Men are a F&W favorite, get in line to see them early because it will be some kind of busy!!! But good gracious they put on a great show, the crowd goes CRAZY!!!

Also , Mark McGrath from Sugar Ray is one of the nicest guys you will ever meet. Most of the bands/performers bring their families with them to Disney, and stay at BC or YC because of the pool. And of course, you know they'll be CL! Another tip is if their is a performer you really want to meet or get an autograph, wait around after the show in front of where the exit is (kinda where the sign that has the schedule posted at) They walk straight out there and everyone we have ever met has been so gracious and nice to post for pics and autographs. Or they rehearse after Epcot closes, but if Epcot has Magic hours, you can see them then.

There was salmon pot stickers, some sort of tabbouleh salad, pretty good, turkey balls, & I forget some of the other hot appetizers. I wasn't impressed with them. I really liked the pastries & mousses, the cheeses were too strong for me. The wines were good as were the cordials.

There were brownies, rice Krispy treats & some good pancotta things.

We were pretty far down the hall our room was 4501, the first room past the second window in the hall.

Oh I can't wait! I am a child of the 80s so I am pumped! Where do you get in line? Do you need tickets for the actual show?

I haven't seen BoyzIIMen at F&W but they were on tour with NKOTB this summer so I saw them twice and they were fantastic!!! Put on a great show! :goodvibes. I wish it was BoyzIIMen during our trip.

The shows are just in that pavilion across from America in Epcot, so you could probably get over there about 30-45 minutes before show time I would think. :goodvibes

There are no "tickets" required, but if you have a Chase Disney Visa, you can get a wristband (or at least we did last year) that had preferred seating.

There are people who line up for these concerts early in the day and camp at the queue as soon as WS opens. There is really no need because, typically, you can waltz in at near show time and get seats at the rear without a problem. If you want to be down front, you should follow the advice above. :)

If you want front row get in line at least an hr before the show. The lines for Boys 2Men got super long last yr. But if for some reason, the show gets filled up and there isn't any more seats, just stay in line for the next show and you'll get close to the stage for that show. There are 3 shows every night. We have a Disney Chase card, and I can't wait to find out if there will be arm bands this yr. If so, we will def take advantage! Oh, the shows are included with Epcot admission.

Oh good to know Deb! Thanks

This is a dumb question maybe, but with the new MB, do you still get the Gold KTTW card?

As of last month, we did. WL had not gone over to the new wristbands yet. supposedly, once they go over to the new wristbands, the CL ones will be the same as all other WDW guests. If you are selected (well) before you go, you'll have the option of choosing a color, and the bands arrive in the mail. If you book at the last minute, or get picked at last minute (during rollout) then there's a chance everyone in your group will get a gray band, even on CL.

At least that was what the CL staff told us based on the info they had last month. I think everything is still in flux at this point.

Maybe once they solidify everything they will offer a special CL version.

Last week we still got the "gold" KTTW card. They will be going away when the bands are fully implemented.

At boardwalk club level right now! Got a boardwalk view room with standard view booking. Husband never wants to leave after the amounts of yuengling they have! Finding this so convenient with our two year old.
