Its been a few years since we stayed in the Regatta club. Just wondering if anyone has been lately and what they experienced.
Thanks :)

Just experienced Regatta Club in June! It was truly amazing and we enjoyed every minute! Excellent staff who were always friendly and helpful. Good wine selection and great selection of food as well.
We will never stay anywhere else again!

Hi all. I am new to these boards, but figured this should be the right place to ask this. We booked AKL CL for the last week of August. I received a welcome and planning email a few days ago from IPO. My question is, do I have to fill it out and send it back?

We booked back in January, and I made all of dining reservations online and called them to book both tours at the 180 day mark so I don't really need them to do anything and they have all our arrival information. I have all of our times and confirmation numbers and emails on my phone, so I am not concerned with their personalized itinerary. Do they wait until you pay in full to send the planning email? (That may explain why we just got it.)

Thanks!

I always do my own ADR's also, no need to fill it out unless there's some surprise to set up or a room request or preference you'd like! :wizard:

3. We would like to request an upper floor in a quiet location at the Poly. Do they have GV rooms on the top floor? We do not want to stay on the ground level, as we never feel private in those types of rooms with people walking by and such. Our first night at the Poly will be our wedding night, so we are looking for privacy. I thought about upgrading the view to ensure an upper floor, but we have spent the past year saving up for this trip and we just cannot afford to spend any more money. Is it likely we would end up with an upper floor as requested if we explain that it's our wedding night/honeymoon or is it just the luck of the draw?
The Hawaii Longhouse has a total of 3 floors. On one side is their Garden View, on the other side is their Lagoon View and Theme Park View. So for your room category there are rooms on the 3rd floor, however you need to request a room on that specifc floor.

Thank you!! We will request 3rd floor.

I just read that! I cannot believe they have 2nd floor without a balcony in club level. You would think they would make every floor great!
I agree, although one advantage to their 2nd floor is that you are right by the lounge and won't have to come from the 1st or 3rd floors.

Sounds good, but for our honeymoon we would prefer a more private or quiet location for our room. I'll just have to request 3rd floor and hope I get lucky!

So happy to have found this thread! We have booked a split-stay at Poly GV Club Level & WL Honeymoon Suite CL during the week leading up to Christmas for our wedding and honeymoon!!!:goodvibes We will spend our wedding night and the next few days at the Poly and then a few days, Christmas Eve, and Christmas at the WL. :cloud9: It will be our first Club Level experience and also our first deluxe experience together (aside from a split stay we did with AKL and a mod a few years ago.

Anyways, I just had three questions I'm hoping you can help me with:

1. I am planning to surprise my DF by buying a decorated Christmas tree for our room at the Poly. I am purchasing it from an outside vendor. The tree is only a few feet high and artificial. The vendor will be delivering it to the Poly on our wedding day (we check in that early evening). I plan to alert Poly IPO of this delivery as soon as I hear from them (we just booked the Poly today).

My question is: Does the person delivering my tree go to the Hawaii building to drop it off or does she go to the Great Ceremonial House? I don't want it to get lost in the mix.

Also, will the CM bring the small tree to our room and set it up for us (plug in the lights, place the tree on a counter) so it is all set up when we arrive that evening? I just want to make sure this is not an unreasonable request to ask a CL CM to do.

2. My second question is, when should I expect to hear from Poly IPO if we only booked the reservation today?

Thanks so much!:goodvibes

The person delivering the tree should stop at the front desk at bell services. There is a sign that indicates "concierge" service. Check with the person manning the desk and they will direct your delivery agent. Typically, they do not allow delivery folks to enter the property. If that is the case, bell services will accept the delivery and should notify CL CMs of the package arrival.

I would definitely alert the CL CMs that you are expecting a "surprise" and make your requests directly with them. I would not ask the IPO staff since they do not interact with the guests after arrival.

We will be at CR club level in late Jan. for 1st time. I was originally planning on watching Wishes each night from the 12th floor balcony as we are Bay Lake View. However, I just found out about the Wishes Dessert Party at the MK which sounds interesting. So...a few questions.

How is the view of Wishes from the Club Lounge? Is it worth seeing Wishes in the park 1 night or does it not make that much difference where you watch it from? Since we get free desserts club level, it seems silly to spend the money on the MK dessert party but it does sound like a fun thing to do. Any thoughts from people who have stayed at the Atrium Club before?

Thanks!

We went to the Magic KIngdom in the first week of February, [VERY low crowds] and were still mobbed for an hour trying to exit after Wishes.

After numerous trips I decided to book us at the Poly GV-CL last week. My final payment was on 7/16 so we are all confirmed. How long should it be before we would be contacted by the CL staff? Just curious, since this is the first time we have booked CL before a trip. Thanks.:goodvibes

Is there a way of contacting the CL CMs before arrival?

I would contact them first. Include your reservation # and any requests you might have.

Absolutely, they have a direct line to the CL CMs OR you can contact IPO and request that your request be forwarded to them. I wouldn't do it too far in advance of your arrival.

I was wondering what kinds of movies do they have available to borrow from concierge? Do they have all the classic and new Disney movies? Will they have traditional Christmas movies during the holidays?

Thanks!

Thanks for the advice then no dessert party for us. We've got a 4 yr old and almost 3 yr old and I just decided to skip the night time park activities all together this trip so no MSEP, Wishes, or Illuminations for us this time. We will be back so that's ok...RD is more important to us this yr. We will watch Wishes at 8 pm at the CR club lounge then get the kids straight to bed.

Glad to hear low crowds 1st week of Feb. We will be there Jan 30th to Feb. 3rd. Hoping for very low crowds and some decent weather.

For our next trip, I'd like get a deluxe room, because of the extra space. DH likes the convenience of being on the 5th floor, near the lounge. He thinks it will be a big hassle having to go up and down to the lounge. For those of you who have stayed in the BC deluxe rooms, is it that big a deal?

Thanks. :flower3:
