For our next trip, I'd like get a deluxe room, because of the extra space. DH likes the convenience of being on the 5th floor, near the lounge. He thinks it will be a big hassle having to go up and down to the lounge. For those of you who have stayed in the BC deluxe rooms, is it that big a deal?

Thanks. :flower3:

We have three boys, so we're a family of five, and we stayed in a BC deluxe room in February. The room was huge and the balcony was amazing! I know the deluxe rooms are on different floors and have different balcony sizes, so they aren't all the same. But our room was on the 4th floor, so it was easy to get up to the 5th floor lounge. I was surprised at how much time we spent in the lounge - I initially thought we would bring breakfast and appetizers back to our room, but the lounge was very pleasant, so we ate there. The only time we brought items back to our room was when we stopped by at the very end of the night for dessert and coffee.

We haven't stayed on the 5th floor yet, so I don't have a basis for comparison, but we thought the 4th floor deluxe room was great. We'll be able to compare after our stay in a GV CL room at the end of August!

We are leaving tomorrow for Naples, Florida to visit family and then we will arrive at the Boardwalk Inn for our first-ever club-level stay on Tuesday around lunchtime!!! Can't believe it is almost here!:goodvibes

Monorail Bob's dd-have a great trip! You will love the Boardwalk:cloud9: We will be right behind you. We leave Wednesday morning bright and early.:cool1: DD is taking two friends:dance3:

Hello! :goodvibes

Just thought of two things for you experts:

1. I made a "room request" when I made our reservation for Poly CL. Should I have also informed IPO or is it fine just having it on the reservation? (Just asking for a balcony.

2. I was contemplating having a box of goodies sent home -- to save us lugging it around on the trip home. Do I need to provide the box in which to pack things to be sent home or would they have something available for me to use in CL? Has anyone ever sent anything home from CL (Poly, in particular)? How exactly does it work?

Thanks in advance. :thumbsup2

For our BWI Club Level reservation next month we had made our request of a Deluxe Room on the 4th floor with the Cast Member from the Disney Reservation Center, so it's already noted on our file. However we decided to tell that same request to the BWI IPO department because it can't hurt, so basically if you want to request it with them go right ahead. Now when they e-mailed us back they said it's only a request which they will do their best to try and happen which we already knew.

My room request made at the time of reservation was honored (or I was lucky). I did not contact IPO about it.

I needed a box to ship things home at the end of my June visit. I had picked up some packing tape after I arrived in Orlando. I went to the concierge desk in the Hawaii lobby and asked what the procedure was for requesting a box. The cast member asked what size, and said she thought she had just seen one that would be just right. She sent me on my way, and within five minutes a perfect box was left in my room. When I was ready to send the box, I went back to the concierge desk and got a shipping form for UPS. I filled out the form, including my billing information, and the concierge took care of the rest. The box arrived safely after my return home. Super easy!

About one week ago I posted that we got sent a second welcome letter and form to fill out from the Beach Club IPO department. Well even though I filled it out before at that time I didn't mention my Mom's request of for a Half a Red Grapefruit during breakfast, because she mentioned it wouldn't be a big deal. Well I guess it was a sign or something that they sent us another form because this time she decided to request it, so I filled out the form again and added the Grapefruit request.

Just upgraded our CR reservation to Club Level for this August! Looking forward to a great experience and can't wait to hit the lounge!

One question for the Club Level experts - should I still do online check-in or does my upgrade mean I shouldn't worry about it?

I didn't do online check in based on the advice of this board for my stay at the poly. When I arrived they were all confused when I said I was at Hawaii, they asked why I didn't do on-line check in and then had to hunt around for anyone to take us over there.

I hate to say it but since it was the Poly, I'm not surprised. We've never done online check in and we've never had a problem with not being met when we arrived except at the Poly.

What days are you going to be there? I am asking because their Atrium Club 12th floor has been closed due to the renovations happening on the 14th floor and others have mentioned being asked to switch and stay Club Level at the Polynesian or Grand Floridian. When looking online for the dates I will be at WDW next month their Club Level rooms are not available from August 17th - 31st, then from August 31st - Septmber 4th.

Now if you are lucky enough that their Club Level floor has re-opened I don't think it's worth it to do online check-in because you will be meet by a Cast Member when you arrive and will be taken up to the floor so you can check-in. Assuming you are arriving before 10:00 PM.

Last yr we stayed Poly CL and we let the guard at the gate know, he gave us a yellow piece of paper that had a C on it and told us to pull up front and give it to the guys, we pulled up they knew who we were when we pulled up, they told us not to touch a thing they would unload us, put leis around our knecks and escorted us to the Hawaii LH where we checked in in the beautiful CL lobby with that amazing view, took all of 5 min, went up to eat breakfast in the CL then hit the monorail for the parks, when we returned we called bell services and they brought us our luggage, very easy.

If you do online check in you will have to check in at the main lobby in the GCH with everyone else and then either lug your luggge yourself or ask for bell services, so NOT doing the online check in for CL is better!

Did online check in staying CBR back in June and it went great, our room was ready at 730 am because I had given them that time for our check in on the online form..

We are there August 19-26. The online reservations system is still showing atrium club available for those dates this afternoon. I just booked this morning, so I hope they wouldn't book me into a room that won't be available for our stay.

Well hopefully you will get what you reserved and let's assume by you reserving it today that the Atrium Club just re-opened or will be re-opening for your specifc dates.
