Thanks!! :goodvibes

Our 1BR in Oct 08 had a different layout, ours had the kitchen island. Wonder if that was unusual. :confused3

We had three different rooms in this trip, and two of the rooms....pictures later in the review.... had islands, the first room we were in was a handicapped room and I think that was the difference, there was more room to move around for a wheelchair.

We did not ask for a handicapped room but that is what we got.

Is it still correct that the IPOs use the same reservation system that is publicly available? For ADRs in the next two weeks, do they have any special pull? I am fairly sure that they do not, but want to be sure this is still accurate...

Yes, you're correct, the IPOs have no greater ability to secure an ADR than you do by going online or calling.

This past summer, the YC IPO emailed to tell me she could not get my preferred Le Cellier ADR and told me to keep trying myself by checking online.

One suggestion is to subscribe to the December Canceled ADR thread which is here:

http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?p=39196351#post39196351

While you cannot post wanted ADRs, those who cancel will post and/or announce that they are going to cancel and you can coordinate with them via PM.

Good luck!

We just got back from a week-long stay in the GF's main building CL. We thoroughly enjoyed it, especially since more food choices are provided than, for example, at nearby Sugarloaf. The staff, to be sure, was friendly and competent.

Still, some guests just don't get it. One gentleman frequented the breakfast offerings in his barefeet, and a number of lazy/rude guests never brought their used glasses or plates back to the return area.

We had a Boardwalk Garden Suite in October and appreciated the shorter indoor stroll to the concierge area.

All the best. :thumbsup2

I am having trouble e-mailing the IPO for AKL-Jambo House with my reservation number. I tried calling them this morning after 9:00 a.m. but had to leave a message on answering machine and have not heard anything back from them. The e-mail address at the beginning of this thread is not correct and does someone have a more definitive one? Thanks from someone who is staying Club Level for the first time:banana:

Here you go:

Animal.Kingdom.Lodge.Itinerary.Planning@disneyworld.com

This is the email address listed in the most recent email I received from AKL's IPO. We are staying CL for the first time in May and we can't wait! Hope this helps :)

I have been trying to contact the IPO office for a week now (phone, e-mail and fax) and have heard nothing from them. Just sent another e-mail today. Is this normal?

As soon as you send an e-mail you should get an immediate auto-response saying they received your message. Are you getting that, but not getting any additional communication from them? Any chance the replies are going to your spam folder or something?

They have been quite prompt in responding to my e-mails. I just messaged them the other day about adding one more ADR to our itinerary and I had a reply with my confirmed ADR within an hour.

That is strange, with no reply. My first contact with Poly IPO was not so long ago, and I actually had an answer 20 minutes before the auto reply arrived.
My follow up questiones where all replied within 30 minutes from I sent them. So I am very impressed so far. Might be different people on the Poly IPO than for AKL, but would not think so...

No not all of them do. There are six deluxe club rooms at BC. 1557 has a large patio, 2557 standing room only balcony, 3557 HUGE balcony, 4557 standing room only balcony. I know 3691 has both a regular and standing room only balcony, not sure abour 4691. HTH.

We had room 1557 deluxe club room and loved it. It was seconds to the quiet pool and it seemed like one minute to EPCOT!

We returned the other day from staying in deluxe room 3557. It does not have a full balcony at all, but has two standing balconies instead. One overlooked Crescent Lake (gorgeous) and the other the quiet pool. 4557 above us did appear to have a full-size dormer balcony though. 2557 below us had a larger than average balcony but it *seemed* to all (or mostly) be on the quiet pool side of the building. I will see if I can confirm that in my pics. There was also a sizable bush just below our balcony and I wondered if 2557 had any view obstruction as a result.

I will be posting pics of room 3557 in the BC pic thread when I get a chance, if anyone is interested. It was a wonderful room even without the full balcony (of course, it was freezing while we were there so we wouldn't have gotten full enjoyment from it anyway!).

I have been trying to decide whether to post about our BC CL experience. Suffice it to say, we were not impressed (to put it mildly) with the staff and the behavior of other guests (the stuff we witnessed shocked us, to be honest). We were so looking forward to it too. :(

Well I suppose we'll have to make the best of it, but your post has me concerned about our trip which begins Saturday. We are traveling with another family who has never been to WDW and never stayed CL. I am sure they would not have stayed CL if we hadn't already booked it for ourselves. I hope they enjoy the experience.

My expereince with the BC IPO has improved this week. They have been great about responding to requests for Lactaid milk in the lounge and today they are going out and buying my son a Santa Mickey Hat. They offered (and we accepted) the idea of getting his name embroidered on it.

west&east, please do not let my experience think yours will be similar. I think our biggest issue was with one particular staff member who was extremely unprofessional with me at check in. And, if it helps any, I would book a deluxe room in a heartbeat if I got a discount, but I likely wouldn't bother with the lounge.

As far as the other guests go, well, you might have a better experience with a different group of guests. Mostly it was people who wouldn't control their children. We saw: kids using the sofa as a trampoline on two separate occasions, another kid walking around with one of the throw pillows in his mouth, MUCH picking up of baked goods and putting it back, yet another kid fingering all the buffet plates - she seemed to be trying to hand them out to people, an adult sneezing on the food - no attempt to even turn his head. There just didn't seem to be many common sense manners. I hope you experience NONE of this and have a great trip!

Hi Jennifer! Thanks for your comments. I am sorry you didn't have a positive check in experience. That is one of the small ways that should make staying CL special. We always make the best of it even when we experience the negative aspects. I definitely understand what you are saying about kids behavior in the lounge. I have seen that type of thing in many settings. Just yesterday, I was helping to serve the breakfast type snacks at DS's 2nd grade class party. Maybe these are just my pet peeves, but I was irritated at the kids piling food on their plates that I knew they wouldn't eat. I started directing the kids to take half a bagel but many said, no I want a whole one. I HOPE my kids don't behave this way when I am not around. I KNOW they won't behave that way when DH and I are present.

I was wondering where the club level rooms were located at the BC? Are they near the lounge or is there a good amount of walking to get to it? Thanks

All the standard and lagoon view CL rooms are on the 5th floor as is the lounge. The deluxe club rooms are on floors 1 through 4 and can be a pretty good walk from the lounge - too far to just pop into the lounge any time we felt like it, so, when we stayed in a deluxe room last week, we went up there just twice a day at breakfast time and (the all important, LOL) wine hour.

Can anyone help me with the email address for BC IPO??? I have tried to use the one at the start of the info thread and it fails constantly. Our trip is only a few weeks away (Jan 20th) and we have dietary needs for the lounge.

Thanks in advance.

I've been in fairly recent contact with them. The address I used and it had never failed is:

Yacht.Beach.Club.Itinerary.Planning@disneyworld.com

Hope that helps :goodvibes
