disneydreamin247 Sorry you are still up, like WDWKOOK said, Hope you get a good nap in:grouphug:

Thanks! I got a nice 5ish hour nap (with 2 feedings in there of course)

I'm sorry you were up all night. And, I just realized that when I wrote that you "have to save something for your next visit," I was referring to a GF room category and not money. Hope you didn't get the wrong idea and I hope you get a nice nap today:goodvibes.

I know what you meant! It didn't even cross my mind the other way lol. I really hope the next 166 days go quickly. I can't wait to board the plane already. I haven't gone on vacation in a year! :sad2: I need to hear a bright and cheery "Aloha!"

Is there any special requests I should make regarding the deluxe CL room at BWI? Anything I should be letting them know in advance? I was sent the email survey to fill out regarding our trip but I made my ADR's a few months ago and we are not booking any special excursions or anything like that. The only thing extra I will potentially need is a rollaway bed for our first night - my MIL may stay that one night and it would be best if we could give her the sofa bed to herself and put my youngest in a rollaway just so everyone has their own space. Beyond that, I am not sure what other info they may need to know. Any special tips regarding BWI Innkeepers Club? TIA!

I mentioned this to you on another thread but maybe you didn't see it, so I will say it again. If you want a room with a bigger balcony request the 3rd floor, because the balconies are smaller for the 4th floor rooms. However the lounge is located on the 4th floor, so is it more important to be closer to it or having a bigger balcony?

Thanks, I will keep this in mind. Do I make the request directly through the concierge staff or do I have it noted on reservation through the Disney reservation number? Also, are the smaller balconies on the 4th floor the tiny standing-room only baalconies or are they the normal balconies? TIA!

5 hours, that's like a whole night's sleep. WOW, too bad the princess is getting her nights and days confused..... Aloha my friend:hug: The next 166 days will fly by :goodvibes

Indeed she does. She just nursed and passed back out. Thanks for the Aloha! I'm passing the time waiting for my next airbrush workshop to start and a few makeup trade shows are coming to NY, so I'm excited for those too.

The 4th floor balconies are small, but have enough room for 2 chairs(and thus 2 people) and the round table. We spent many comfortable hours on the balcony in November each day.

Check the time of Magic Kingdom fireworks each night (as the times can vary in the MK from night to night)....with the deluxe CL room, you can stand on your balcony and look over past the Beach Club to see the fireworks!

You can see the upper fireworks from EPCOT at 9 each night from the balcony of the lounge.

You can make that request by calling the Disney Reservations Center, however it wouldn't hurt if you also made the request a second time with the Boardwalk IPO department.

Boy have a missed a bunch on here! Howdy folks! :goodvibes

Well I meant to post a while back but forgot to. :upsidedow A miracle happened for me (no - GF RPC wasn't available for my August dates :)) but I had something happen that hasn't happened before in my CL stays.

AKL IPO actually contacted me! Usually I'm the one that has to send the introductory email, but this time they did it. Neat, eh? :cool1:

I still need to send IPO an email. What should I say? I've never done something like this before.
All you have to do is give them your dates and your confirmation number. If you have no requests you can just write something like, "My Gramma and I are looking forward to our first-ever stay at the Contemporary and our first club-level stay." Nothing fancy, this will simply serve to make them realize that they've never contacted you and they will then probably email an IPO request form to you which asks about your arrival time and method and any requests, etc... Just fill-out the applicable parts of the form and email it back to them.

Hi everyone - have a quick question and apologize if it's mentioned earlier on this thread and I didn't catch it.

We are staying POLY CL later this summer!!! It will be our first time staying CL so I'm reading up on all things CL. Along the lines of the PJ's in the lounge, I'm wondering if it's appropriate to grab some munchies and take them back to your room / outside - or do most people eat in the lounge?

I don't want to be one of "THOSE" families if this is not common. I have no issue bringing everyone, but sometimes - in the morning especially - it would be more efficient (we are traveling with 2 little ones and Gma) if we sent one person to get snacks while the others get ready - or got a "to go" bag on our way to the park.

Your etiquette experience is appreciated! Can't wait to experience Hawaii

You'll have no problem bringing food back to the room. Many people do it with families.
With teenagers the I leave them to sleep later while I enjoy the lounge and soak it in. :goodvibes

Enjoy your stay!!!

ITA about the size still being fine. I much rather be on the same floor as the lounge with this balcony than having to come up a floor with a slightly bigger one (especially if you plan on bringing food back to the room).

I was pretty impressed to get an e-mail from AKL-CL IPO's. I figured that since we booked in the beginning of January that somehow our reservation might get passed over or whatnot and that I would have to e-mail them first. Sure enough this past Tuesday, our 198 day or so mark, I got an e-mail from them with the request form. I made no requests, just gave them our flight info for them to set up ME for us, and got another e-mail back from them pretty quickly to tell me ME would be set up 45 days before the trip. :thumbsup2

I'm going to give them a call today to request Wanyama for the day we arrive since they don't want CC over e-mail or fax.

Don called me on a Saturday to get my CC info for the safaris.

I'm from England & i've noticed when i've checked hotels/rates randomly on the WDW (international?) website NO club level rates have ever come up, but when i checked on the American WDW website there was quite a few on the same dates!

Is the only other option to actually ring up? It's very difficult booking one of hotels from England, that's why we (my family) always stay offsite in a villa.

But i would LOVE to stay at one of the hotels with my boyfriend in the near future & we quite fancy club level - but booking it just seems near impossible. :sad1:

I wish I had an answer for you. I have never tried to book a Disney Resort outside of the USA. Are you using this web address? If so, perhaps the time you are trying to book is sold out for CL for the dates. I just played with dates from June through July and found CL available at all of the resorts I tested, Animal Kingdom, Beach Club, and Polynesian. I can't imagine why your options would be limited, but then again--I'm here and you are there.

Give the link a try and see if it is different from the link to Disney you have in England. :confused3 Maybe I should try to book something from here to France and see if I am offered a CL booking? :confused3

EDITED to ADD: I guess I see what you are saying--it is a really intriguing website to book outside the USA. I was offered package deals, but little else. Perhaps you should follow the link and hope you can access what we see here. Really :confused3

The international site is interesting to say the least. I put in random August dates and was able to pull up a CL room at BC, YC, and Poly. I also checked AKL but there was nothing.
