Now that we are so close, there were some last minute questions I had for the IPO. I always get a quick response, and I feel they really have been courteous, and on top of everything. I'm soooooo excited!:lovestruc

Does anyone know if Xio is still with BW/BC/YC IPO?? I'll be ready for some help in a couple weeks and think she's just the greatest :goodvibes I would prefer to work with her if she's still there.

Thanks!!

I'm not sure that she is, unless she is dealing with YC guests only? For my BC reservation over the last few months I've dealt numerous times with the IPO and there's some of the 'old' names from my previous trips, but Xio wasn't amongst them, then I switched to the BWI and the same names are dealing with my reservation but again Xio isn't amongst them. In the past I've been able to call the IPO and request to speak to a specific CM but this time it doesn't appear to be the case. However, despite one little hiccup, all the CMs I've dealt with re this trip, including those I've dealt with for prior trips, have been amazing as always.

Thought I would let you all know that I was able to get a price on the Atrium Club from August 30 - Sept 2. I guess they have put off the renovation over the holiday weekend. I am thinking about moving from the Poly now for our trip in two weeks. :goodvibes

Kerry-What a way to celebrate.:cool1: The lounge and the staff won't be the same after you all leave.:thumbsup2 As always I know you and the family will have a wonderful time staying in all of our favorite resort and with all the special cast.:thumbsup2

Getting excited about my trip to the BWI Club soon! Any tips?:littleangel:

The list I just got via my welcome email was:

Terri, Patty, Zoila, Omar, Annie, Judy, Brittany, Gloria

I don't know if that is all of them or not.

Enjoy the cast members in the lounge...they are wonderful (I miss them terribly!) Relax and enjoy the lounge, don't be in too much of a hurry to run out! Watch the fireworks from EPCOT from the lounge balcony.

It is so relaxing to go in the evening, have a dessert and a drink, and watch the fireworks.

The quiet pool and the hot tub are truly quiet--I have seldom run into more than a few people there at a time. Very relaxing.

Go down the clown slide at least 5 times..it is fun!

Allow time to sit on a bench in the evening and people watch on the boardwalk---fascinating...also allow time to watch the magician.

Actually I looked and it's now available for my vacation too a week in mid-September, while it wasn't last week. Bummer too, because if we could have stayed at the Contemporary for our opening nights we might very well have held on to our Bay Lake Tower ressie for the rest of the week. (We had decided that moving from Beach Club or Boardwalk was too onerous.) Course, that's no longer available at all now, so we're staying with what we've got, but interesting that availability is shifting so quickly.

Just wanted to post that I sent my *first* itinerary planning email off today (the one with a link). :cool1: I had four of them to do, but overall, very easy. I should've done this last year!

If I'm staying at CL, do I have to send an email off or can I just show up? I guess I'm a little bit confused about what the IPO is and do I need them???

TIA!

A benefit to staying CL is having staff available to assist you with itinerary planning prior to and during your visit; dinner, shows, personized services, etc.

I sent the email in this year to have part of our group picked up at the airport with ME, but I also made notations of celebrations.

Last year I didn't since I had nothing really to book, even though it was our 15th anniversary. :rolleyes1 Honestly, I was just happy to be staying CL. But they must've made a note on our original reservation at booking because we were upgraded a few days prior to arrival. :cloud9:

The IPO department is a few Cast Members that will make all your ADR's before you arrive and handle any other requests you might have, however they are not the same Cast Members working in the lounges that you will see. Eventually once your reservation is made they will e-mail you a form to fill out which will say what time do you expect to arrive, how you are getting to your resort, what ADR's you want and etc. Then a couple of days later they will e-mail you back.

Now you can also choose to e-mail the IPO department for your specifc resort right away to introduce yourselves and etc, so they can get a head start on things and not wait for them to e-mail you that form.

Thanks so much. I will just wait then. I can't think of a single thing I would need help with at this point. :thumbsup2

I've contacted the Poly IPO about having ears purchased and personalized for us before our stay. They directed me to Disney Florist. I emailed back that I had previously been able to have them purchased for us before our trip and I didn't think that had changed and received an email back saying that it had in fact changed and that they cannot purchase items for you until your arrival date. Why such a discrepancy between CL experiences?

I got the same answer from CR IPO though they did contact Disney Florist for me and set it up and I only had to email IPO (this was last week). It was frustrating since BC IPO as willing to do some in room stuff but I was thinking maybe it was because from BC I had requested Sand Buckets and toys/treats (no problem) and from CR I wanted ears and stuff animals? I don't know but I think it is hard to know what they will help you with.

It must be confusion among CL CM... because I just emailed Poly IPO that we would like mickey ears purchased and in our room and they had no problem. In fact I got an email back today asking what color I would like They have been great. I've been working with Brittany and she has gotten it all taken care of... including dealing with some crazy reservation mess.

Apart from letting the IPO make your ADRs and possibly (but possibly not) buying things to put in your room, what are some of the other non-obvious amenities I should consider using while staying Club Level?

Of course I know about the food in the lounge and things like that, but is there anything else that might not jump out at a first-time guest? Anything else the Concierges can help with that isn't clearly listed in the first few postings of this thread?

We had them help us with purchasing tickets to the MNSSHP, MVMCP, reserving the Candelight Processional dinner package, reserving surfing at Typhoon Lagoon, arranging transportation to the rental car center, etc. They can help you make or change ADRs on the fly while you are staying there (but this isn't the IPO, it's the onsite Concierge at CL). They can also help you arrange/reserve any other recreational activities (horseback riding, watersports, golf, etc.)
