Concierge/Club Level Information - Part II (Sept 2009)

I'm going in May and at 180 days out I gave my ADR's to the staff at the Poly and I got everything I wanted. I wouldn't be worried.

DH paid off what we charged to the room the night before we checked out in the club level lounge at AKL.

For the first time ever I will be letting CL handle my ADR's this Wednesday ... Im so nervous :rotfl: Has anyone been making their ADR's for September lately? Are you getting your choices? How has the CL staff been in handling your ADR's?

TIA!!

Last year was our first year staying cl and I was worried but everything turned out fine. They got every adr I asked for close to the time I asked for. They also purchased my mnsshp tickets for me and booked the wde. They couldn't get the time I wanted for the wde and both called and emailed me to make sure they could find an alternative that would work. Please don't worry (if you are like me you will anyways until you get the confirmations ;))

I am booked in a Deluxe room at Boardwalk Inn (sort of just worked out to be concierge because we have 6 people and that's the only room type for 6 available.) I contacted IPO today to ask about the Wishes Dessert Party (no news on it by the way) and got a response from Xio right away. She was great and will be checking on the Dessert party for me and will book it if it resumes. I'm really glad that I booked concierge and wouldn't have known about all the perks if I hadn't read about them here. Thanks.:dance3:

Xio is fantastic isn't she - I've dealt with her before and nothing is too much trouble for her.

The BWI is beautiful, I'm back there myself in May and can't wait :dance3:

We are headed in June to YC - and definately staying Club Level as BWI spoiled us there! my daughter loved Storm Along Bay so wants to stay at YC/BC this time. I wish I was back at BWI!!!!!

Hi Melissa :wave2: lol at driving me nuts - I'm so glad you had a great stay at the BWI.

I really enjoyed YC too, stormalong bay is amazing, but now I've 'found' the BWI it'll always be my home :goodvibes

That's nice to hear. I'm staying BC CL in a couple of months for the first time (Xio has helped me, too!) but we loved BWI CL the 2 times we tried it and I can't wait to go back there. I know it has a loyal following :flower3: Off to read your TR!

I really want to try the BC CL too, it looks so pretty :goodvibes

I have a confession to make - I switched my GF booking back to the BWI, I just didn't feel comfortable in a 'honeymoon' room being on a solo trip lol

Well you are a resort hopper too eh? I have been booked at BWI CL, BC CL and now YC Cl for sure. STAYING PUT!! :) grand floridian -oh that would be nice...but I just remember you adoring BWI so good to stay "home".

We have stayed at both Jambo in a regular and CL 1BR and in a Kidani 1BR. All three rooms had the sleeper chair. It is my understanding that the only 1BRs that do not have the chair are the value units as they are smaller.
That is great to know! I'm glad I was wrong!

Both great resorts :cloud9: The turret rooms are amazing and I've seen friends' pics of Deluxe queen RPC rooms but the "honeymoon" rooms on the second floor are a joke. Not worth the $$ at all IMO. Inconvenient location.

Besides, it's always nice to return to your favorite.

I am starting to get a bit annoyed with conc. planning. I don't beleive they booked my Cali grill anniversary dinner! :( At least it's not typed on my paper. And they made my daughters BBB apt for a tuesday that we are NOT EVEN THERE! :( I am starting to get a bit upset and rethinking this.

We had similar problems when the IPO did our ADRs for our last trip. They completely missed DD's BBB appointment and for a few of our dining reservations they got the party number wrong. I ended up calling the IPO and they got it squared away. I found that worked better than trying to go back and forth on email to make the corrections. Good luck :goodvibes.

This is the same information I received on a different thread...Thank you!

Hello! I am new to Club Level and so I apologise in advance for what might seem like stupid questions...

Can the IPO help us to order a cake for my daughters birthday?

Can we order something to be in the room for sometime during our stay?

I am not concerned about room location, etc. but it would be nice to have this stuff taken care of - can we ask for this?

and if we can, I have no idea what to leave her in the room - does it have to be something that is found at the WL giftshop?

Okay I am done with the dumb questions and appreciate your help very much!

BC IPO helped us order a cake for ds's birthday last year.

I also asked them to have a Jedi Mickey and Darth Vader Goofy and balloons waiting in the room. I just gave them my credit card number. Everything was in the room when we checked in - plus a chocolate treat from BC CL!

POLY IPO helped me order a cake for our up coming trip in May. I sent them a picture, they sent me the ok with the price and then I picked out the cake flavor and the dark chocolate mousse for the center. The Contemporary bakery has made the cake before. I found a picture on the cake chatter thread.

As for leaving something in the room. My guess would be anything you pick up and leave it with them, they would be glad to leave it in the room that day. I would imagine that if you asked it for a couple of days later they may be hesitant to hold onto it for you. If you wanted them to get if for you I would think that it would have to be within the Lodge, if they would do it at all.

Just popping in to say we are at beach club cl now on day 5 of 10 and couldn't be happier. Awesome room, awesome service... All cm's are fantastic!! Our favorites are vilma and Carrie . All of the staff have just fallen all over dd and gone out of their way to remember her name. Just really nice people. Great lounge offerings too! Can't wait to post lots of pics and a trip report when we get back.

Our mousekeeper has even left dd two towel animals!
