Oatmeal with all the fixins is my favorite breakfast food. I'm so glad Poly CL will begin offering fresh as opposed to in those little packets.

Thanks for posting this info, Tess.

My pleasure. It was always my daughter's favorite too. She was sad when the pot was removed and since we went in summer; she couldn't even get packets. As I said, I can't foretell the future and do not know when the menu might change, but for now it is the menu. :thumbsup2

Tess-thanks for the update.

Oatmeal is nice but the pastry choices are even worse now. I was really sad when I went back to Poly CL this summer and the pineapple bread was gone -at least I knew before I went thanks to this thread but I still missed it. My new staple in the mornings were the cinnamon rolls and now those are gone too.:sad2:

I hope they still have the cinnomon rolls at AKL CL when I go in January.

Hi All

We'll be at the yc cl the weekend after this one. I was wondering if the lounge will have a hi-chair? We will have our 19 month old son with us and it would be an understatement to say that we need a hi-chair! Im hoping I can get one sent to the room as well. Also any perks to staying at yc with a toddler is greatly appreciated!

You're welcome--hey, where were you ladies at F&W--I didn't know who to look for, but figured if you saw us you would recognize our faces from the picture. We had a blast!

Glad to hear you had a great time! :goodvibes We did too! :thumbsup2 Sorry we didn't get to meet up -- I was on the look-out (well, some of the time!! :rotfl:)

Most of our time was spent in Epcot; a little at DHS & MK; never made it over to AK in the 10 days we were there!! :upsidedow

We made it to all four parks, but we spent the most time at EPCOT as well. F&W is our new favorite at WDW--we tried something from every booth but Mousecatch and the Dessert/Champagne kiosk (we aren't big on the wine part--I have allergic reactions to some wines and my husband doesn't like it, but we love the food, beer and specialty drink part :rotfl:). So many wonderful things to eat!

We did pool time each afternoon and had some really lovely conversations with so many people--no one from the DIS though. :confused3 After the May trip, the weather was spectacular too!

Sorry we didn't connect!

This thread is terrific! I'm not sure if I missed this info somewhere here, but I'm sure someone has an answer.

I booked our AKL CL package for Aug/Sept 2010 the end of August. I have the email address of the IPO, but not sure when I should contact them. Or will they contact me? While it seems way too early, I just want to make sure to contact them in enough time.

I don't ever wait for the IPO to contact me!!! ;) It's never to early to establish contact with them as long as you have a confirmed reservation. I would suggest sending them an introduction email now (I always list Reservation # and Dates as the title). This would be a good time to ask them any questions you may have. ADR bookings return to the 180-day window later this month so, technically, you aren't "way too early" anymore! :goodvibes

Thanks so much for the info! I thought I should wait, but I'm going to email them today. Do they send you forms to fill out about ADRs and other special reservations, like the Sunrise Safari?

Just got back from the Poly CL Honeymoon suite and CR CL. Had a great time at both and discovered a new favorite. The ONLY resort we will be staying at now will be the POLY CL. The service was incredible and it was just magical. The CR was just disappointing.

I sent an e-mail with a document with all of our ADR and safari requests. They called on a Saturday to get the credit card info! I was so surprised to hear from them so quickly.

I emailed the AKL IPO this morning and they sent me an email back this evening. I wasn't expecting a response that fast!

Can you make room requests with the IPO? Where are the CL rooms at AKL? Any recommendations on what to request?

I was told 4th floor, all savannah view. I requested Zebra Trail, Arusha Savannah near the elevator. My dad has trouble walking long distances. I will e-mail the request again about a week before we leave (which is getting closer and closer!). When I stayed in '06, we were Kudu Trail, Sunset Savannah, and we enjoyed that view, too, although it is probably different now with Kidani.

Thanks! Yay to your trip getting closer!!! :yay:

Based on what I've read, I think I will request Arusha Savannah also. Did you send your request to the IPO? I'm wondering if I should email my request and then call and have it added to my reservation.

The IPO will handle all your requests, including room requests! :thumbsup2

That's so great :yay::yay::yay:

Now I need to start getting my restuarant choices together.

Can I give them my CC number and ask them to purchase a couple of surprises for my nephews? I wonder how often this is done.

The short answer is "yes!" and many of us have had the IPO do a bit of shopping for us! :goodvibes Recently, there have been reports of some IPO's referring guests to the Disney Florist for those "surprise" purchases. :confused3

Last I heard, AKL's IPO was still offering that service. You can discuss that option when you speak with them to give your CC #. You can either tell them specifically what you'd like them to purchase for your nephews, or give them a little information (such as favorite characters) and a budget and let them do the shopping. My experience is they're very good at finding the perfect items! ;) They don't actually do the shopping until a day before (or the day of) your arrival. :)

Thanks so much for the info. I'm going to see what they can do as far as purchases for my nephews.

I'm so excited about the Sunrise Safari!! I got info about a "Buy Out Safari." Not sure if that's the same as the Wanyama Safari :confused3

I've never heard of a "Buy Out Safari". :confused3 Did that info come from the IPO?

I'll be doing my 5th Sunrise Safari in February if that gives you any indication how awesome I think it is!!! :cloud9:

Howdy everyone!

Your going to be seeing a lot of me in this thread too!

I posted in the WL thread, but will give you guys an intro too:thumbsup2

I'm a married mom of two. We are big Port Orleans RS fans and stay there every trip. Well me and my husband have never had a honeymoon and said we will make next years trip an official one for us.

Hubby thinks we are staying at pop century for three nights followed by 14 nights at Port Orleans. Little does he know i have booked us club level at the WL for the first three nights!!!!

I won't be telling him till we are there either. We have never stayed at the WL or Club level. It's only ever been a dream.

Our disney tickets don't begin until our POR stay, so could anyone give a few tips on activities we could do?

Also what rooms to request?

Thanks so much all

Sarah
