How exciting Sarah! That is a great surprise!

I've never heard of a "Buy Out Safari".Did that info come from the IPO?
I'll be doing my 5th Sunrise Safari in February if that gives you any indication how awesome I think it is!!!

Howdy everyone!
Your going to be seeing a lot of me in this thread too!
I posted in the WL thread, but will give you guys an intro too
I'm a married mom of two. We are big Port Orleans RS fans and stay there every trip. Well me and my husband have never had a honeymoon and said we will make next years trip an official one for us.
Hubby thinks we are staying at pop century for three nights followed by 14 nights at Port Orleans. Little does he know i have booked us club level at the WL for the first three nights!!!!
I won't be telling him till we are there either. We have never stayed at the WL or Club level. It's only ever been a dream.
Our disney tickets don't begin until our POR stay, so could anyone give a few tips on activities we could do?
Also what rooms to request?
Thanks so much all
Sarah

The Buy Out Safari info was in the email I got yesterday from Don at AKL's IPO. You can pay a flat fee (a VERY high flat fee) and have a private safari with no age restrictions. I emailed to find out if it was the same as the Wanyama Safari and if it included dinner at Jiko.
Interesting! The Wanyama does have an age restriction - no one under age 8, but it's also not "private" - although I believe 12 is the maximum number on each Safari. I wonder if this will allow guests to have the Wanyama all to themselves.
I'm anxious to hear what you find out from Don!(oh, and how high?!!
)
Thanks!![]()
My DH is currently deployed and it is our usual custom following deployment to take a trip to Disney.
We are doing a Welcome Home trip in January. We will be doing a 4 night cruise on the Wonder followed by 4 nights at Shades of Green. However, I am seriously considering changing to 4 nights at the CR Magic Kingdom View Atrium Club.
Do you all think it is worth the money? (Silly question on this thread, I guess!) Actually, I mean is the Contemporary CL worth it? We have never stayed Concierge and I'm not sure I know what all is included?
Thanks for your help!
I so think it's worth the money. We are big disney fans. It had been my dream to stay at Contemporary and we finally did that in June and we went ahead and did the MK Atrium Club. It was everything that i had imagined. The service was above and beyond. We took full advantage of the atrium club. We would stroll down to eat breakfast, come back for a break before dinner to get ready and enjoy the food and wine, and just the experience of grabbing a coridal and watching the fireworks from the room. We also watched them from the club balcony. We are booked there again in December, that's how much we enjoyed it. We had the meal plan in June, which was too much food with the breakfast in the club and snacks and drinks in the club, so for December we are not doing the meal plan.
I say go for it. We live in Fayetteville, NC and so many of our friends are deployed. I know that they would love the trip to Disney but the added luxury of the atrium club at the contemporary now that's America, lol.
Yes staying Club Level at the Contemporary is worth it and if you didn't read the 1st page of the thread, here is a link to everything you need to know about it.My DH is currently deployed and it is our usual custom following deployment to take a trip to Disney.

Amenities include in-room wall safe, voice mail, data port on lighting fixture, phone in bath area, hairdryer, iron and ironing board. Coffeemaker and refrigerator are available upon request
This may have been addressed in earlier posts - I haven't read the entire thread but I have a question that requires a quick answer.
Thinking of booking CR Atrium Club, but at Disneyworld.com online there is no distinction between MK or Bay Lake views. It doesn't look like you can reserve a specific view. In fact, the description for what is clearly Standard Room - Atrium Club actually seems confused with Tower Club. The description says, exactly:
This is followed by a price which, again, does not specify that you are booking a particular view.
Is this a known issue? If I book this, will I be slotted into a Bay Lake room no matter what? Any knowledge or experience with booking Disney's description as listed above would be appreciated!
The WDW website seriously needs to update this information. As it's already been said the standard Atrium Club room is the Bay Lake View and the other room option is the Magic Kingdom View. This may have been addressed in earlier posts - I haven't read the entire thread but I have a question that requires a quick answer.

I'm so glad I found this thread -- such great information. We just switched to CL.
We can make ADRs in a couple of weeks (right before the 10/27 switch-over) -- does anyone else make their own ADRs instead of having the ipo do it for you?I'm thinking of going that route because we're extremely indecisive and I probably won't have a final list nailed down until the night before
.
I've stayed CL twice before but both were upgrades so we didn't use the pre-trip services. Don't want to step on any toes, kwim?

You should do whatever you feel comfortable with! The IPO will gladly make your ADRs, and make as many changes as you request -- and they do it all with a smile!
They will certainly understand if you decide you'd rather make the ADRs yourself, but (as many of us have learned) it's really nice to sleep in and let them handle it!!

It's a private safari and it starts at $2000.00
I don't think this is going to happen for us. That's part of another trip.
