Concierge/Club Level Information - Part II (Sept 2009)

We are staying CL in January and my DP's sister is going to drive down one day and spend the day going to the parks etc. I have a couple of questions if you could help.

1. Can she park at our resort or do we have to try to locate her at a park?
2. Can she ride the disney transportation?
3. Can we have Concierge make a ADR at our resort with her included?

We have no intention of taking her to the pools (she won't mess her hair up :rotfl2:) or to the lounge.

I may be smacked on here, but she can probably park valet at your resort with no questions asked. Older friends of our did that when we were at the YC a few years back.

Disney transportation is open to anyone, she can ride no questions asked.

Concierge can make your ADR with her included, just tell them that you need that ADR for one extra person. I wa about to suggest making it yourself but then I saw where you have a while.

Enjoy!

Thank you! That is very helpful. I didn't want to be somewhere and then a bus driver ask for her kttw card and we have to figure a way back. :scared1:

I don't think the parking is too bad at AKL-Jambo and I think we are going to go to Boma so it will all be right there to enjoy the lodge a bit. :thumbsup2

Like I said in a previous reply the only thing which spoil everything for the Club Level guests is when someone staying there brings 30 of his friends and family up to the lounge which I happen to see in person, so in my opinion that sounds a lot worse then others thinking that someone who is a registered guest that took more food then they should have

I am going to have to disagree with you. I think it is very rare to see someone bring that many people up to the lounge. The cast members should have spoken up. A few years ago I was at the BWI with friends while a couple other friends were at the Swan. I asked if my friends could join the rest of us and was told, very politely, that it was busy at that time and thay would be unable to acomodate any extra people. When we checked out my friends were allowed to sit in the lounge with us before we left.

I actually said in a previous reply the Cast Members could not say anything, unless this guest brought his friends back a second time and only then they could tell that guest his friends could not stay. So the only thing they did was put out those signs saying the lounge is reserved for Atrium Club guests. However he did say if guests brought 3 or 4 friends then is ok for them to stay.

Just Booked club level for July. Have not stayed at AKL CL for about 4 yrs. Also we have never gone in the summer before. We became DVC members at AKL this year so I have more of an incentive to stay at my favorite place. I am taking my DGD in Dec but not staying CL. I am excited!!

So when I worked in a concierge lounge at a Marriott, we charged for each alcoholic drink the guest drank (but left it up to them to record the charges and left it up to them to determine how much alcohol constituted a 'drink'). I had been assuming all along that at Disney, the alcoholic beverages were free or part of the price you pay to stay CL due to posts I've read and the fact that it is way more expensive to stay CL than at the Marriott (usually only $10/night/room).

So a question for all of you that have stayed CL and drank the beer/alcohol - do they charge for it? And is there a limit? I'm not talking about asking for 10 beers at once, but asking for 2 at a time to take back to your room or something like that.

Thanks for any info you can give!

There is no charge for beer or any other types of alcohol that they offer and there is no limit on how much you can have. For example in August 2007 while in the Atrium Club lounge we started talking to someone who was drinking two bottles of Heineken at the same time, which he did more once when we would always see him in the lounge.

I am off tomorrow morning for the BWI!!! I wil be sure to have pictures and a report when I return.

Nascargirl and sftbank, I will see you next Wednesday!!!!!!!

Have a wonderful time, Kerry! :cool1:

Is Club Level at Beach Club worth the extra$$$$$$$$$$$$$

So, for our trip in March, We did decide on the Beach Club!! Very excited!! I noticed that to stay club level was an additional $600.0+ for our length of stay (3/21-3/28) We went ahead and booked and now wonder if anyone here has recently stayed at the Beach Club Cl rooms?? I really haven't seen the best reviews on the boards for the club level for BC and am a bit concerned. Seems a lot of the consensus here is that the longe room is small, crowded, features no view and the food is just standard and not as plentiful nor as flavorful as other resorts that feature this service. What has your experience been with the menu?? Are the room accomodations any nicer or bigger than a standard? Is the CL room small and crowded??? Any and all comments along with any pictures would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks!
Michelle

Man oh man, I can't wait to be double fisted at the Poly CL next April lol, especially for free given the high prices at the giftshop to purchase beer at Disney!! I will definately get my moneys worth for sure! Is cognack put out at night at the Poly as a part of the evening cordials does anyone know? One of those is a great nightcap on vacation before bed. :cool1:

I asked this on the plain BWI info thread, and received one "no" and one "yes", so looking here to the club pros for the definitive answer. Do the club level rooms at BWI now have dvd players?

All the club level rooms - standard, deluxe, suites have DVD players.

Its the normal standard rooms in the hotel that do not have the players.

I am just estatic! :cloud9: I had been trying for days to get an evening reservation at Rain Forest Cafe in downtown disney without sucess. The best I could find was 3:30pm (would just be arriving at hotel) or 9 pm (waaaayyy too late.)

I contacted IPO and Marijane secured a 6 pm reservation for me without a problem. :worship:

Can't wait until we arrive. Too many days to go.

Hey! So excited to have a reason to be back on the Dis Boards! We booked the GF club level at SugarLoaf for this coming January with the 7/4 deal. Just a question...

What does this mean?

Refrigerator - not stocked (available upon request at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa)

does that mean that the refrigerator is avail. upon request or stocking it is available upon request? If they stock the refrigerator upon request, does it cost more money?

Also, I emailed the IPO at GF to confirm that they will have beer and wine in the evenings and they said yes they will, that they have everything that the Main club level area has at GF. I thoiught I read on here somewhere that sugarloaf doesn't have everything that the main building has.

Love reading these threads!
