They had a few cold cereal selections, bagels, muffins, toast, yogurt and fruit. The lunch time offerings are normally a taco salad or green salad with tuna, assorted hummus. Unfortunately, this resort is not one that offers kid friendly themed food. The afternoon tea consists of warm scones, brownies, cupcakes and trifle. Early evening usually offered something like mini hot dogs, sliced chicken breast stuffed with a spicy filling, assorted cheese and crackers, brownies, cookies and cupcakes. The lodge does not serve wine with their early evening selections and there are no desserts and cordials served in the late evening. These are only available if you're staying in the main building concierge. Lemonade, iced tea, coffee and hot water were available throughout the day. They don't keep out soda or juice boxes, but you can ask the concierge staff and they'll be happy to get them for you. I think the 4 and 7 year old will get the most out of breakfast and then maybe a snack and cold drink during the rest of the time.
We had a marina view room and we could see the monorail as well as the fireworks, but the position of the building doesn't really allow for a view of the castle.
As for your priority seating, I would recommend going through concierge if you can. I noticed that when the hostess brought up our reservation on her screen, we were noted as VIP's. I think this was the reason why we always had the best tables and no waiting.
