Does anyone know how many concierge villas are located at Animal Kingdom Lodge villas? Do they only come in 2 bedroom units?

Thanks! :thumbsup2

There are 5 1BR and 5 lockoff Studios, so a maximum of ten rooms total.

However, they can be combined into 2BRs, so there could be as few as five at a given time.

BTW, we were in a 1BR conc room last week, and it was fabulous.

I know I will sound like a dunce but a few questions about concierge

When do you request it?
What is the points difference in a studio?
Can you request it after the fact on a booked reservation?
Is it worth it?
What is the difference?

Do they have it at every resort?

When do you request it?
It's a booking category. It's not a request. It is booked when you make your reservation subject to availability. Because there are so few Concierge villas, they typically go quickly.

What is the points difference in a studio?
You can look on the point charts for AKV on this site. It will list Concierge separately from Standard View, Savanna View and Value View.

Can you request it after the fact on a booked reservation?
No. As mentioned it is it's own booking category. If you book another category and want to get Concierge, you will have to cancel your reservation and re-book at Concierge.

Is it worth it?
I'll leave this one to others. I don't see it being worth it for our family but many others consider the increased amenities and access to the Sunrise Safari to be well worth it.

Do they have it at every resort?

Only AKV, and only at the Jambo House there.

I stayed in a 1 bedroom conceirge in June, I think it was worth it. The sunrise safari was the highlight. The downside is you are not guaranteed savannah view and if you do get savannah view it's not the best.

Since I am new to DVC I am curious as to opinions on whether or not they will keep concierge as a choice after kidani village opens in it's enitirety.
Do they have concierge planned for BLT as well?
We are going to AKV in August and were able to book a concierge 1 bdrm for one night for the sunrise safari, on my grandsons 4th birthday. At this point we are wait listed for a concierge studio for our entire trip.

We will also be going in Aug! When are you waitlisted for?

Yes, the concierge rooms will still be available in the Jambo House after Kidani Village is completed. Those rooms are part of AKV and dvc members own interests in them. If they were removed, the members that own those units would have to be bought out. There will not be concierge level at Kidani Village.

Based on the point charts published, BLT will not have any concierge level rooms.
