Concierge and Illuminations

I'm sure this has been asked before, but I can't find it using the search feature!

I'm seriously considering GF concierge for our September trip. I read that they can handle all my priority seatings, and that I should get a seating for breakfast at the castle with no problem. (Something about the PS requests going in the system before dining opens the day booking is allowed?) Anyhow -- I'm wondering if the same is true for Illuminations cruises? I'm going to have some work travel around the time I will need to make some of these arrangements, and I might be unable to call in when the phone center opens on those critical days. And honestly, it would be a great relief not to have to worry about making all the PS's. But maybe if I go concierge, I won't have to?

Can anyone tell me what I could expect in regard to making these arrangements?

Tara, I had a wonderful experience with concierge being able to get me an Illuminations cruise. We were staying at the YC in December and a large group, Mousefest, had secured all the boats during our entire stay. I don't know how they managed it, but when we arrived, I found out that we did indeed get the cruise I wanted.

I don't think they can guarantee anything, but we haven't been let down yet.

MouseSavers has never booked ANY boats at ANY time for the Illuminations cruise, much less all the boats available!

I'm sincerely glad you were able to get the cruise you wanted, but you were given erroneous information about why boats weren't available.

Tara, the concierge of any WDW resort will tell you that they will attempt to book the cruise for you, however, there is no guarantee that they will be able to get it for you. By the way, that was what the GF's concierge told us. Just thought I'd mention it.

There are only so many boats that can be booked, and sometimes lots of folks are trying to book them all for the same period of time (the nasty law of Supply & Demand kicks in when you least want it to).

we're doing concierge at AKL and they booked us wishes cruise, illuminations cruise and CRT at the exact day/time we wanted. everything i've asked they were able to come thru with! i was told that while there are no "guarantees' they pretty much come thru - good luck!!
