Concerns/issues w/ checking out before last day in park?

(Still a USF newbie...)

My original, 4 night, 3 park plans are beginning to look like 3 parks, 3 nights (checking out 4th morning). Original plans were to arrive Sunday evening, parks Mon-Wed and check out AM Thursday (4 nights). Now, it's looking like we'll need to check out Wednesday morning, hit our last park (tentatively VB which has a 5:00 PM close) and drive out that late afternoon/early evening (~1,000 mile drive back home - need to be back by late Thursday and we don't want to cram a 1,000 mile drive into one day. )

I assume room charging ends upon checkout (?) so anything else we purchase afterward (e.g. at VB) needs to be pay as we go?

Anything else I need to consider?

Nope. And if you have luggage not wanting to be in your car all day, put it into the porter, then come back to hotel to collect. No sure where you are staying, but there’s no parking at VB, so either waking or bus to it, depending on which hotel you are staying at. Parking charged by midnight, so you can leave your car in the hotel lot, after you checkout , and only be charged for the three nights.

And your hotel card works after you checkout, though I never charge to my room, but I would think they’d like you to be charged for all purchases you do make while staying there, and 0 balance at checkout. Though have had an erroneous charge made to my account after I checked out, one time, so possible. But for ease, I’d make sure I’d get a 0 balance when checking out, and pay as you go at VB.

After you check out officially you can't use your room key for charging purposes. I had food at the Kitchen after I checked out of HRH and had to use a credit card.

I know we have had to get a special Pool access key to be able to get in to the pool area following check out ever since they put in keyed pool gates. Not sure about all the Resorts but even the pool bar at Hard Rock is behind the gate, for instance. So now, we just automatically stop on our way out of the resort on check out day to get a pool access key.
