We have a BCV 1-bed ressie for late August. Maybe it's because people are more likely to write complaints than praise on-line, but I'm reading an awful lot of bad room reports -- rooms looking worn, dirty carpet, moldy grout, paint peeling on bathroom walls. One review from this June said they saw a group of Disney management walking through the Villas, so maybe complaints are being addressed? But I'm concerned. We are there for 10-nights...I want to settle in to a clean room, and enjoy my stay. I'm not really interested in doing a split stay...did one a few years ago and swore never again...felt like we lost a day in the transition.
I am seriously considering moving our ressie to AKV. However, we have never stayed there, and I am a bit nervous about committing to a new resort for 10-nights...especially if we end up not liking it. We will have a car, so I'm not totally concerned about the "off the beaten track" location. However, we mostly stay at BWV, so we are used to being in the thick of things.
I chose BCV because my twins are now 8, and I thought they would love SAB. However, I've read great things about AKV for kids too.
For folks who have stayed at both, and particularly for folks who have recently stayed and BCV and can report on room conditions, I would love to hear your advice. TIA for everything!
