Complimentary refrigerator @ Value resorts!

Most resorts and high-end properties charge for Internet service, wired or wireless. Walt Disney World does provide the Ethernet cable guests need to get online; it's not unreasonable to expect guests to provide their own additional equipment to be wireless.

WDW doesn't want us in the rooms on computers. They want us in the parks spending money.

ITA. I did take my netbook on one trip before I had a smartphone and I used the cables in the room and paid my $10, no biggie.

I see your point. But really, who is going to spend that much money for rooms, tickets, gas/airfare, etc... and not go to the parks? :) I think most people would only use it during afternoon relaxation time or in the evening when they are at the resort for the night.

We would never find time to get on a computer during the day or even when we get back in the evening. If we do go back in the afternoon, we nap, watch tv, or just have time to change and head out for the evening, when we get back in the evening, it is time for bed.

I am on vacation, I don't want to use a computer. I can check personal e-mail, facebook, etc on my phone if I want to. I am usually too busy enjoying the park to do any of that. We even have park apps, but I don't even hardly use those. If I even had a tablet, no way would I be dragging it to a park.

I enjoy the park too. Very much so. :) I'm not one of those that walk around with my nose stuck in a phone or tablet (we've all seen them) but there are occasions that I may want to get online or use the tablet. I used to carry all of my papers like menu's, reservation info, etc.. in paper form but now I can use my tablet and have it all in one spot and easy to get to. I can also use the tablet for many other reasons. And I would really only use it when we were in line for an attraction that might take a while and I need to look something up. I might also have to use it for school. If I cannot get my advisor to schedule my classes around our trip then I will have to use it for that while I am there. :)

goofypop, i might be one of the only other people on this board that has ALSO lived in Sellersburg. :)

it was a looong time ago in a galaxy far away but live there I did.

Cool!! :cool1: I'm not sure if you remember where it is but I live in the subdivision behind the old Sellersburg Hardware and the Circle K (Down by Jim Oneals Ford)

Back to the original subject...This would be really cool if they did start putting fridges in all the value rooms. And if my little old fridge swap (running now with same organizer for over 5+ years) had anything to do with it -GREAT! If they don't have a freezer compartment I will have to do some serious thinking about keeping my fridge swap going. ;)

I remember when they added fridges to all the moderate rooms-I believe there was a room increase around the same time?

POP has been really great about letting us store our fridge when not in use. And the times when I have had to call to locate it, they have been very helpful. If they start inc. fridges in all the rooms I wonder if they will still allow fridges to go into LS?

I guess time will tell if this is for real. We are there in only 31 days so I will know soon. And if not, at least I have my fridge to use again (for the 6th time):cloud9: I know there were many disappointed guests who didn't get to use a fridge for free so I am sending some magic your way that this rumor is true. :wizard:

Oh, and personally, I have saved $600-$700 by using my own fridge swap. Not really that much of a pain to save so much cash.

Holy crap! Did you live in the same Sellersburg as goofypop because, as it turns out, I do! I never read the fine print and never noticed that before!

So, what you're saying is, in 10 minutes I could walk to your house? What a small world... and what an appropriate place for that phrase!

I am originally from So. IN, too! DH and I went to Floyd Central High School. My SIL teaches and lives in Sellersburg and all of our family lives in Lanesville/Greenville/Floyds Knobs/New Albany. We go back home several times a year! It's a small, small world!:rotfl:

As for the free fridge rumor, I would love to see this come to fruition! We sometimes get back to our room too late to get mug refills and we will have lots of bottled drinks due to being on the QSDP. This would save DH from having to get ice late at night. It would really be nice to just pull out a cold drink whenever you wanted one. :thumbsup2

What's her name? My kids may have been her students. :)

Us too. We will go to Walmart though to get our drinks. Now we can keep them cold. I doubt this is just rumor though. I trust the source very well and they seem to be absolutely sure about this. (where's the crossed fingers icon when you need it?)

Her name is (deleted to protect the innocent), and this year she was moved over to the new primary school that just opened up. It's funny how all of us So. IN people found each other in this thread. What are the odds?:rotfl:

OMG.... My son Englebert Humperdink had her for his 1st grade class. LOL

I don't mean to be a kill joy but maybe the folks that have local connections should PM each other rather than posting the info on the thread. I'm concerned for you putting the personal info out there for anyone to read. You just never know...

Thank you for reminding me! I will edit my posts (Goofypop, if you wouldn't mind, doing the same, that would be great!:thumbsup2)

Wow I really hope this is true. We booked Free Dining bounceback for 14 nights for 2012 before we left yesterday. Like other PP said we had lots of water and milk left over from being on the QSDP. This would be a huge plus for us.
