Most resorts and high-end properties charge for Internet service, wired or wireless. Walt Disney World does provide the Ethernet cable guests need to get online; it's not unreasonable to expect guests to provide their own additional equipment to be wireless.
WDW doesn't want us in the rooms on computers. They want us in the parks spending money.
ITA. I did take my netbook on one trip before I had a smartphone and I used the cables in the room and paid my $10, no biggie.
I see your point. But really, who is going to spend that much money for rooms, tickets, gas/airfare, etc... and not go to the parks?I think most people would only use it during afternoon relaxation time or in the evening when they are at the resort for the night.
We would never find time to get on a computer during the day or even when we get back in the evening. If we do go back in the afternoon, we nap, watch tv, or just have time to change and head out for the evening, when we get back in the evening, it is time for bed.
I am on vacation, I don't want to use a computer. I can check personal e-mail, facebook, etc on my phone if I want to. I am usually too busy enjoying the park to do any of that. We even have park apps, but I don't even hardly use those. If I even had a tablet, no way would I be dragging it to a park.
