Hi all,

In July, third week, we will be going to Seaworld for one day. I'll either take a cab or the bus shuttle from the PBH. We have no problem starting our day out early. Party consists of DH, me, DD(21), DD's BF (25), DS (17) and DM (75).

Basically they would do everything....except DM who loves to wait and people watch. Coasters, shows, etc.

I just need some strategy help.

I definitely recommend arriving at least 30 minutes early for Clyde and Seymour Take pirate Island to get the best seats and also to watch the mime make fun of everyone arriving. He was HILARIOUS!!!

I would start by going to the web site and looking at the show schedules (once they are available). Decide which you want to see and make a plan that will get you to all of them. If you have roller coaster fans, SeaWorld has two absolutely fabulous coasters, but they will have long lines in July. SeaWorld does have a front of the line pass available for purchase, if you are going to do enough of the rides to warrant spending the money.

Also, if you have extra money, the tours are fabulous. We toured on our own in the morning and did an afternoon/evening tour. This was on one of those busy week-of-Christmas days, so the tour really helped fight the heavy afternoon crowds.

You do know SeaWorld gives you the 2nd day free?.... just saying.

We try to do a tour each time we go -- they are excellent and give you insights on things behind the scenes with somebody who can answer all your questions on that topic. Even on Pres. Day SeaWorld crowds have never been bad, especially early in the day. But not much happens in terms of shows etc til later in the morning -- if you're up for rides that early in the day, that's a good time to get some in.

Thank you for the strategy ideas. Does anyone know when they usually post the schedules...one month ahead...two, etc.?
