COMPLETE ABC Letter/Elements Swap

oh Ann. Try to enjoy the visit. I'm sure it must be hard. I'm not in this swap but wanted to chime in and say --family first. This is just paper. Real life is what comes first.
Hugs to you.

And I really do enjoy the time with them. It is just on a different level now. My boys are really hoping for some nice weather so they can go fishing with my Dad. And they are really good with my Mom. They go and fetch her things so she doesn't have to get up. She has no balance and sundown syndrome with her eyes. They only lift up half way. She has to tilt up to see you and it make it even harder for her to walk. And they will sit down and watch TV with her to keep her company. Although Little Bit does like to snuggle with my Dad more. LOL. I don't think my Dad can breathe much with my Little Bit around.

I don't know if my post made any sense. What I meant was you never know when you won't have them around. So, please enjoy the time you have with them and don't worry about paper.

7th works for me, but if I need the extra day off (Tuesday), I'll mail the 8th, priority with DC.

I know. I've already grieved for the person who was my Mother. The shared memories are no longer the same. It was a long time before I accepted that.

I am thankful that they are willing to drive all this way to see me and my family. It is not an easy car trip. And we are making new memories.

Ann,

I have not mailed mine yet so I will hold off until the 7th ...hope that helps:)

Ann~I'm usually pretty quiet on the boards, but I wanted to echo what everyone's been saying. Don't worry about the swap and enjoy your time with your parents.

No problem Ann!! If you change your mind and want them any sooner or later, let us know! Enjoy your visit! You have obviously been doing a wonderful job raising your boys that they are so young have know patience so well! It is hard for kids to understand things like that so that is a great reflection on yourself! :flower3:

I would love to take credit for it. However, the truth is God gifted me with wonderful children.

Ann, what sweet boys you have, I'm sure your mom feels their love....keep making those memories for them.:goodvibes
I kind of went through this, my daddy had Alzheimers...was already pretty bad when Megan was born so she never knew how wonderful he really was, he died when she was almost 3, but she still talks about Grandpas special house (care unit) and playing princesses with him, I tell her stories of him, but wish she had those memories of her own.

Losing my memories is my biggest fear for myself. Not remember who I am and how I got to be this way. **shudder**

I am sorry Megan doesn't have the memories you have.

Hope you really enjoy the visit, and as everyone else has said, dont worry about this swap. Family is wayy more important!

I have the same fears...

I am so grateful that Megan has real memories of her daddy though, couldn't stand her not knowing how wonderful Jim was.

Then I will send her a virtual hug. No bugs need here.

Hope she feels better soon!

she went to urgent care yesterday and got the good meds so hopefully she'll be up and running soon!
She hates missing out on the kids games but I told her we need her healthy, I was not visiting her in the hospital!!!

Wish I had read this update earlier, I sent my box of stuff today. Put it all aside for now and enjoy your time. Family comes first. Best wishes.
