I hate to complain about a room or service --because it takes time.....When I'm on vacation I have so little time I hate to make a complaint. How do you all handle problems that come up.

If something really isn't right, I call about it right away (depending on what it is, I might ask for the supervisor or not).
If I don't do it right away, I never do it!

It depends on the severity of the problem. This past vacation we rented a beautiful lake front house but none of us could figure out how to work the satellite TV's and get reception. Everyone was too lazy to call the realtor, so we read books all week or watched videos. We were supposed to have use of a canoe and rowboat but only the boat was at the dock. I made a bit of a stink about that, because my dad and I like to canoe around the lake. Seems the caretakers were afraid us "city folk" would capsize and drown. I called them several times and finally they relented when I assured them we were experienced canoeists and had purchased life vests for all the kids. I know what you mean, I hate to take time out of vacation by complaining myself.

I only complain when the problem is more about rude service...or incompetance, I know that room service has never been a quick thing when I have used it anywhere...If it is bad, I complain right away. If you wait, you just don't usually do it, and if that is the case, then it really wasn't that important to begin with.
