I am comparing a Panama Canal cruise between Holland America Explore 4 promo and a Disney Panama Canal cruise. Right now a 10 day Sunfarer cruise on Holland America is @2199/pp for a verandah with the free alcohol and Pnnacle grill promo. Can anyone say what opening day rates are for the 14 day cruise for a verandah (say navigators)? I don't have any pricing to compare this Holland America cruise too. TIA!

There are several Opening day price threads: Don't know which you're interested in.

Just do a search for "Opening day pricing (whatever year you're interested in).

Or you can use cruisefish for that information.

Opening day for EBPC navigator balcony ( with onboard booking credit) 2681.08 pp (including taxes and port fees.)Having completeThe only Disney cruise we have found that is any where near competative price wise with other lines is Panama.Having completed 6 Panama cruises with Disney (and 3 more on the books) I highly recommend it.We sail Holland for Alaska and Mexico.

Thank you! This is the exact sailing I'll be waiting for. Going to book a place holder in October in anticipation for this cruise. The HAL sailing was only for 10 days compared to Disney's 14 days. Not much more to sail Disney and it will be a longer cruise. Thank you again for this info!!

I'm assuming your planning 2018? Navigator Verandah's are only offered as a guarantee right now.

Our first DCL cruise in 2008 was on the Magic EBPC. The itinerary has changed a lot since then. We left LA, made three stops in Mexico, through the canal, stops at Cartagena and Aruba, then CC and Port Canaveral. Since then they have cut out a couple of ports, skip CC and land in Galveston. I like the WBPC schedule better with CC included...of course it is very popular and appears to be close to sold out. If I were Mickey and could design my own itinerary, I would leave LA, make one stop in Mexico, forget Cartagena and dock at Aruba, then maybe one other stop in the Caribbean, two nights at CC then finally dock at PC...all in at least 14 nights. WBPC, reverse the schedule.

I like your itinerary much better too!

Actually spring 2019 to sail the WBPC. I'm watching for the opening dates which I have a feeling will be around March of next year.
