Company Holiday Party

This would SUCK for me. I am really bad at having “things” I want. For my birthday this past year I asked my kids for things like paint the kitchen, mow the weeds in the backyard, take the stuff collecting in the garage to goodwill, etc.
Ha! I can think of nothing I'd love better than to have one of my bosses come to paint my kitchen. :rotfl2:

Seriously though, people can ask for gift cards and I'd imagine you could use one of those for something if you were forced to make a request.

All of our work parties are exclusive only for the employees and nobody would even think to bring a spouse or a date. Only exception is perhaps if someone is retiring in their spouse might join that party or dinner or once many moons ago we had a family picnic and of course then families were invited. Our work party is in two weeks and everyone just goes right after work directly to the event location. And to be honest I prefer these events without my DH

I don't work but I usually go to DH's since he co-owns the business. It's usually lunch at this really cool local restaurant but for some reason, they're doing it at Top Golf even though neither my DH or his business partner golf. I absolutely hate golf so I'm skipping. My excuse is that the time when it occurs is too close to when I have to pick my kids up from school. I could probably make other arrangements but they don't have to know that.
