Compact Umbrella?

Does anyone have a good one they can reccomend? Our trip is next week and it looks like we will need one...the only umbrella's that are small and compact to fit in my Donner bag are from Walmart and it looks like it will fall apart...

I bought a great small one at Brookstone a few weeks ago for $20. However, I don't ever take umbrellas to WDW. They seem to really get in the way in a large crowd. The Disney ponchos ( and the 99 cent ponchos) are much easier and keep us pretty dry.

I just bought a Totes mini, I think it was $10.99 and I found it at our Meijers store. It was the smallest one I could find and it should be decent quality. Totes is carried all over the place. Mine is bright blue with lime green trim and comes in a little netlike sleeve with handles. I am NOT hauling around those Mickey ponchos for the whole family this year. I am getting the tiny cheapo folders at the dollar store this time. Those along with a tiny umbrella and we'll be o.k.

I have a Totes Mini that I bought 10 years ago & it is still in great condition! It's small enough to stick in my purse (I don't carry a huge purse, either.) Living in Florida, it has come in handy many times, and stands up to pretty strong winds.

I have a totes mini too that I always bring along........I also bought rain ponchos in the dollar store just in case.........they are much cheaper than having to buy then in DW.

You'll find that poncho's are more practical than umbrellas, even compact ones. The problem with umbrellas at WDW is that they don't play well in crowds and they don't help much in windy conditions, which you are likely to get with those afternoon thundershowers. You can buy cheap throwaway ponchos that take very little room at your local Walmart type store before you go.

i also have the totes mini. It is WONDERFUL I got it for about 9.99 at walmart. They have them at target as well. It i about 5 or 6 inches long and about the circumference of my fist.

I got one at Target for my trip to Israel/Egypt. It's called a briefcase umbrella. It's unbelievable. It's flat. It's only an inch wide. It's sturdy though. I would also going with a poncho for the parks, but I'd rather an umbrella for walking back to my room or DTD.

I bought the ones from Walmart they were mini ones cost about $9 and held up fine but I agree the rain ponchos are great I picked them up at Dollar Stores 2/$1.
