Hi everyone. After getting stuck on Soarin for a long time, a very kind CM gave us 1 day 1 park comp tickets. Any strategies on how best to use these? Anyone have experience with comp tickets? The CM said they do not expire. Do you know if I can bridge them with other future tickets?

As of right now, they are just in the form of a confirmation number. Any help or ideas would be great!

This is one that @ravenclawtrekkie would know. My understanding is you cannot upgrade these but you can save them as long as you like for when it does make the most sense to use it.

For example, I personally wouldn't use it when 1 more day on a future trip is only $15 more or 1 more day but if there is a future short trip or $15 is worth saving then it's there.

Personally, I think the best use would be for a shorter trip where you only need tickets for 1 to 3 days so you could maintain the value of the ticket. As Accident indicated, once you start buying 4-day to 10-day tickets where the cost per day gets lower and lower, you would start losing value on the ticket if you used it on a longer trip. I hope that makes sense.

This.

Best value when used on a trip when you only need 1-3 park days, total.

There is also the theory that if you have (4) 1-day comp tickets, let one family member use one each day, and buy normal 4 day tickets for the other (3) family members.

Can you split them up like that? I supposedly have 3 1-day tickets from years ago and haven't yet figured the best way to use them. But if I could "rearrange" them like that it would help a lot (since I just found two old partially-used non-expire tickets in a drawer). Do we have to use the one-day tickets for different people, or can we give them all to one family member? That would be great if it's true!

There is no "rearranging" necessary.
One person in the party just uses a number of one-day comp tickets, one each day, while the rest of the group uses new
full-price multi-day tickets.

This does not work if your party is all staying on one WDW resort PACKAGE reservation.
With a PACKAGE, every person must buy the same kind of tickets.
If you are staying a non-WDW resort, or you all just have a "room-only"
reservation at a WDW resort, the kind of tickets that you buy does not matter.

we have saved ours and used them for when we needed a one day ticket-like we flew in a day early to go on a cruise, or a Univ trip, and just wanted a WDW fix. So, a value of $100, if used that way.

This is exactly how we used our 1 day comp tickets.
They are 1 day tickets, no restrictions on how they are used, or how many 1 person can use. Since we never take 1 day trips this was the best method for us to use them.

Thank you so much for clarifying! We were just talking about this as we're planning next year's trip. We haven't stayed on a package in ages, so this should work perfectly for us.

Another possibility: if you only want to hop once in a particular trip, you can use these for your second park that day rather than buy parkhoppers.

Thanks all! This is the kind of info I was looking for. There are actually 7 people in my party (7 comp tickets) so lots of ways to configure these.

For those who have done this, could you just call in the ticket line to get them scheduled/assigned? Right now I only have a confirmation number.

Also, do you think they are good at Disneyland? Considered that as a possibility.

Enter the confirmation number in MDE, where you link tickets. You should be able to assign them yourself at that point.

Wow, just how long were you stuck on Soarin' that the compensation has to be a whole day of admission?

I got physical plastic tickets when we checked in. Once I loaded them in to MDE I could assign the tickets to anyone, however I wanted.
