Comp 1 Day 1 Park tickets

We were stuck for about an hour. Yes, all 7 of us got comped tickets. In no way did I expect that! I went to guest service to retrieve something from lost and found, and mentioned to the CM that we got stuck on Soarin, causing us to miss out on hopping to MK. I asked if there was anyway to give us back the FP we missed out on. He did some work on his computer, went to a back office, and then came back with this confirmation number and a note that said 7 1 day 1 park comp tickets. I had him repeat it just to make sure I heard correctly. I thanked him profusely and walked away in total shock.

I got physical plastic tickets when we checked in. Once I loaded them in to MDE I could assign the tickets to anyone, however I wanted.

So you had to wait until check in to get them? We have a timeshare and I plan on trading in to OKW for our next stay (I have done this before). Would I be able to make FP 60 days out using these comp tickets? I'm guessing not if I have to wait until I check in.

Have you tried plugging in the confirmation number into MDE? If you're able to successfully do that, then you should be able to book your FP+s at 60 days out (providing your swap is successful). If it doesn't, then I'd try calling Disney Ticketing, though they will probably tell you to handle it once you check in.

Thanks @andyman8. I haven't tried that yet. I will. I did try to call the ticket line tonight, but they were closed. (Don't know why I expecteded them to be open 24/7! Ha!)

FWIW, I would use them for a quick trip next holiday season and pair them with a party ticket. One park day on the comps and a second with 4:00 entry to a party. Depending on where you live and/or your willingness to fly really cheap airlines, it could be fun...

I love that idea! We have never done a party because I couldn't afford the additional ticket expense. But this might be doable! We always go at Christmas.

My DD21 and I ran away for MVMCP last December, and the thought of the price of a one day ticket to see the last year of the Osbourne Lights was stomach churning. A freebie would have been perfection. (Instead, I used a stack of Target gift cards that I had accumulated to buy a Disney gift card; it felt like getting a deal...)

No, that's not what I meant. An issue at check in was the reason for them giving the tickets. They were having system issues and couldn't access anyone's tickets. So everyone arriving that day was given 1 day NE tickets, no matter if you had planned to go to the parks that day or not. We didn't so we saved ours. They printed and gave everyone tickets. I was able to look on the back of the tickets and load the numbers in to MDE.
