I understand that BCV does not have one but that the Boardwalk does. What exactly is it? And if you are staying at BCV can use the one at BWV while staying at BCV?

Never has one person asked so many poorly worded questions!
I'm just getting excited because I think we may actually join. Have to wait and make sure with the taxes first though. Uncle Sam gets his cut first!:(

Bumping for someone to answer.

Community Hall (there is one at OKW as well) is where a lot of the activities for children are held. I'm not familiar with what is in the Community Hall at BWV so I'll let others answer. I think it is near the quiet pool at BWV.

You could check it out while you are there but I don't think your children would be permitted to participate in the activities unless they are staying at BWV. However, it couldn't hurt to ask.

I just joined myself and after joining, I disappointingly was told that BCV people are not supposed to use BWV's Community Hall. That is one of the reasons we joined. I haven't told the kids yet. I hope to hear something to the contrary. Maybe some veterans can advise.

I am both a BCV and BWV owner and the Community Room is one of the major benefit differences between the two resorts. The one at the BWV has all kinds of activities for kids scheduled during the day from fishing to key chain making. They also have video games, a ping pong table and other table activities. It is right at the quiet pool so when the kids feel like a break from the pool, they can dry off and go inside for a while to do something different. I spent a lot of time playing hockey with my two DS's and ping pong with my DW.

I consider the first floor preferred view rooms on the quiet pool the only ones that are really worth the difference in points from the standard view rooms because of the easy access to the pool and Community Hall.

No one ever asked for our room card while we were there over New Year's. I just got back from the BCV and didn't go over so I can't answer the "can you use?" question. But I did miss not having it at the BCV.

That is a nice tip. I was thinking about those rooms when we stayed at BWV over a week ago. We checked out the community hall, but from our unit, it was quite a long walk so we only went there twice to get tapes. I was looking at those rooms and thinking it would be so convenient to just walk over. Is it noisy in the warmer weather though? Will you have a lot of traffic in front of your patio?

It is a little busy but nothing like the Boardwalk or the big pool. It really is somewhat quiet and out of the way. Of course we have four kids so quiet is a relative term in our household! Our only traffic has been them.

They also serve fresh popcorn at the Community Hall. Members have access to rafts/life-jackets and rental videos free of charge when showing their DVC card. On our last trip I was able to attend a members meeting at the CH where new proposals were discussed and feedback exchanged between members and Vacation Club representatives.

We are staying at a standard view 1-br in May at BWV. What type of requests can I put in so that it will be close to Community Hall (besides "close to community hall" of course?)

Thanks
