Common Sense actually (kinda) prevails with regards to A&E FP+

So I was on here the last few weeks complaining in advance that if I am not able to get A&E passes for my trip 6/22-6/26 (shortened 2 days to do Sea World and Nick Suites) then I was going to complain to WDW.

The way I figured it, there's no way everybody is going the exact same days as me and will have filled up the FP+ for A&E 60-65 days in advance....kinda.

For Sunday, June 22, which is a full 60 days from today, the A&E passes are gone. Huh? Seriously? So that means there are a ton of people starting their trip within 10 days of 6/22 and have taken all the FP+ before I even had a chance to get one. Stupid. Dumb. And crazy that you can't even get the pass you want on the day you can first choose. Disney will need to do something about that.

On the other hand, the rest of the week is wide open for A&E. I adjusted my trip and got my passes on Tuesday, but it meant quite a bit of changing...BBB reservation changed, and now we don't get to MK until the third day of the trip, which kinda stinks.

So yeah, common sense said that there had to be SOMETHING available to me for SOMETIME during my trip...I was getting nervous, because of all the reading about people saying they couldn't even get A&E for any of their days. I kinda think that was people who weren't flexible with their days. If you are flexible, and you start your schedule of FP+ at midnight of the 60th day, you will in all likelihood get A&E FP+ for one of the days of your trip.

That just seems like common sense to me.

I had a similar experience. When I made my FP+, I could not get one for my first day but I had no trouble getting one for my family of five on several later days in our trip.

They opened A BUNCH for May in the last couple weeks so I'm wondering if they release more 30 days out, or now that they are slowly figuring out the crowd levels at MK. I got mine the very first day they opened for my trip next week but then they were gone when I wanted to switch my days around- I just checked last week and I could almost get any day that I wanted with the exception of 1 (which was the day I already had scheduled).

My FP window opened today. I was on at midnight last night and A&E were available every day of my trip (6/22 through 6/27). There were plenty of times to pick from starting around 9:15am and I think the latest was around 4:00pm. Even this morning it is still showing availability every day of our trip and plenty of options for times every day. This is for a group of five, booked all at once for the same time (no copying or trying to book them individually with overlapping times).

I made my choices on Monday night. We will be at WDW from 6/21-6/28 and I was looking for A&E FPs for Wed, 6/25, which was wide open at that time. Maybe the weekends fill up faster.

I do wonder what you would have expected WDW to do if you hadn't been able to change your schedule. A&E are new and popular, like the BOG restaurant. I mean, it stinks if you can't get a particular FP or ADR, but that's just the reality of it.

I was able to get our FP+ for A&E at 60 days out, but I also scheduled ours for later on during the week rather then our first MK day. I think that helped a lot because I was able to get a FP+ for all four of us together.
