He said, "After enjoying the CL desserts, we headed to our room for the MK fireworks. Here was our view shortly before the fireworks began. Since I don't trust my point-and-shoot with fireworks pics, these are all from my iPhone 4S."

"MK's fireworks were done by 9:15, and in a split second decision, I thought it would be fun to see Epcot's show as well. So I took an elevator down to the Grand Canyon Concourse, hopped on the first available monorail, and transferred at the TTC."
"By 9:41, I was inside Epcot."
"After wading through a sea of crowds, I secured my spot on the International Gateway bridge. There were lots of people in front of me, but it was still a good view!"
"Immediately following the regular IllumiNations show, there was a special Fourth of July finale: The Heartbeat of Freedom."
"There were even some fireworks above the American Adventure pavilion."
"And guess what? Right before the grand finale, my mom's iPhone camera had the same freezing problem that mine did. This time, there wasn't a backup option, so I couldn't get any photos of the best part. Sorry about that!"

We received more than 30 updates yesterday from our 8 reporters yesterday. I do believe that is a thread record! So please bare with me while I try to get them all posted to the thread.
Let's begin today where we left off, with DonaldDoleWhip on his way to DHS on 4th of July evening.
He said, "Once the DHS fireworks show ended, I continued on my way to the park."
"The lines were long so I didn't do anything there, but it was still nice exploring DHS at night."
"I quickly left the park to go use a Space Mountain FP. Instead of walking back to an Epcot resort and taking a direct MK bus, I hopped on a bus to WL. This wasn't a good decision, since the traffic exiting DHS was insane! 20 minutes after leaving the bus stop, we were still on DHS's entrance driveway, and it took almost 50 minutes to make it to WL. Standing for that ride was torture, and people on the bus were giving me ugly looks when they saw me with a pink phone. (Remember that my mom and I had traded for the night when my camera froze up, and her case is pink. My phone is on the left.)"
"It was such a relief to get off that bus at Wilderness Lodge, but now I was in a panic about making it to Space Mountain on time."
"Right away, a bus to MK pulled up. I arrived at the park at 12:08 (7 minutes before my FP was set to expire), but I still snapped this pic while passing the the Main Street Electrical Parade."
"Made it to Space Mountain at 12:14 - just in time!"
"After a quick ride on my favorite FL attraction (Mad Tea Party had no wait at all), I was ready to leave. However, while strolling down Main Street, I noticed that the Bakery/Starbucks was now empty."
"Needing something to quench my thirst, I ordered an unsweetened Grande Tazo Iced Green Tea. You have to request it unsweetened, since they add simple syrup by default."
"I was never against Starbucks taking over Main Street Bakery, but now I'm a complete fan. It was so nice having something unsweetened and refreshing, and prices were on par with (or lower than) prices for a comparable 'Disney' drink. My drink cost $2.66 after tax, and it really hit the spot."

Next Rachel sent an update from their dinner last night at Epcot's...
"All we asked for was pretzel bread..."
"I liked the maple sugar addition to the butter."
Seared Scallops with English Peas, Red Onion Marmalade, Carrot Puree, Pea Tendrils, and Smoked Bacon Snow
"I ordered the scallops appetizer. I really have never had scallops before. I liked them but not my favorite seafood. I loved the bacon snow on top. The carrot purée was great too."
"Corey ordered the strip steak with potato wedges. Loved the steak but didn't care for the potatoes."
"I had the filet of course. I loved the filet and risotto but didn't like the pickled onions. They didn't go with the steak at all.
Also the truffle butter sauce seemed different, maybe thicker."
"For my dessert I ordered the Coconut three ways."
Coconut Gelee, Macaroons, and Coconut Gelato with Candied Marcona Almonds and Chili-laced Chocolate
"This was one of the weirdest things I have ever had. The coconut gelato was awesome, the macaroons were just ok. I didn't realize that the coconut gelee was going to be the main thing. It was this tofu texture type long thing that tasted like fresh coconut just hardened up. It was so weird I couldn't wrap my head around it. It wasn't bad but I wouldn't get it again."

Rachel, the reason the coconut gelee tasted like the texture of tofu, is that it actually WAS tofu. I almost ordered this when we were at Le Cellier last week, and our waiter steered me away from it because of this. He basically said it was tofu with a side of coconut.
