In conclusion NB02 said, "Overall, we really enjoyed this restaurant. They were definitely having some new restaurant growing pains. We checked in at the restaurant at 7:00 and didn't get seated until 8:00. And then we didn't leave until 10:00. But, it was a great experience!"

Note from jabead: Although Nanabug's update was the 4th that we have received for this thread, I've decided to award both this update and HoneyBeeM's the same 5 points that were given to the first three updates. These first updates were actually all done by reporters who were later doing a full review, so were not as complete as those done by Nanabug and HoneyBeeM. Therefore, I feel that NB & HBM are quite deserving of the full 5 points.

What a fabulous BOG review! I hadn't seen the rose napkin or the adorable princess goblets. Such great details - especially the rose under glass! Love the photo of soup slurping - very beast like!! I can't wait to try this restaurant!

Now for the funny story regarding the tie for the First Update of the Day this morning. At 6:47 a.m. (Central) I began receiving Nanabug's (above posted) update from her dinner last night at Be our Guest. At 6:49, as I was looking at the first few pics that NB had sent so far, I began receiving update pics from our other current reporter, HoneyBeeM. And guess what...her update was from her dinner last night at Be our Guest! So for the next 5 - 10 minutes, I was receiving dueling pictures on my phone...all of them from Be our Guest!

And so folks, thanks to our two wonderful reporters, Nanabug02 and HoneyBeeM, I have a double-dose of Be our Guest updates for you to enjoy as you start your day. I'd say that that is pretty awesome!

Kristi said, "I had to try these. They lived up to the hype."

Kristi said, "I always have the best intentions but forget!!
I had the white pizza with artichoke and truffle oil. Very good but too much food all around."



Kristi added, "My husband was the only one in our party who didn't have pizza. He ordered Linguine Frutti di Mare (Shrimp, clams, mussels and squid tossed in marinara piccante). He thought it was just ok and only ate the seafood, not the pasta. Our waiter was great and pretty much told us to stick with pizza, appetizers and dessert. My mom had Eggplant Caponata (Eggplant salad with olives, capers, pinoli nut, tomato and raisins) and loved it. For dessert we had zeppole, tiramisu, and an ugly but good sundae. We thought we were too full, but they were awesome!"

Funny you should ask! I was wondering the same thing, as most of the gingerbread had expiration dates at the end of the month. The guy in front of me didn't seem to care about that, though. He spent over $300 on gingerbread! He was buying it up like there was no tomorrow!

Good morning and Happy Thanksgiving to everyone celebrating today...and for those that aren't, well Happy Thursday!!! I wish all of my past reporters, future reporters, and everyone else who reads and posts on this thread a Thanksgiving day full of delicious food, good company, and maybe a nice long nap too.


We have just finished up our traditional family Thanksgiving breakfast, which features french toast, bacon (which was much better than Disney bacon ), and mimosas. While I do make excellent french toast (if I do say so myself ), I once again forgot to add vanilla in an attempt to replicate the French Toast at the Grand Floridian Cafe. Oh well, maybe I'll remember next time. Anyway, as I sit here finishing up my (no doubt nap inducing) second mimosa of the morning, I thought I would share with you a funny story regarding my dinner last night. My family had dinner out at Medici Restaurant, as we were celebrating my oldest daughter's birthday. When it came time for dessert, we decided to order two for the five of us to share. The desserts were placed in the middle of our table and one of them was so pretty that I could not resist the urge to take out my cell phone and take a picture of it. I was expecting some moans and groans from my family, but was pleasantly surprised when two of my three kids took out their own phones and joined me in my picture taking frenzy. One of them even posted the pic immediately to her Facebook, which resulted in several "Likes". So that you understand the magnitude of this, let me explain further. One of my first attempts at doing a Dining Review was during our Spring Break trip in 2010. I still remember the look of horror on my teenagers' faces when I took the camera out to take pictures of our food. Needless to say, I quickly resigned myself to the fact that my review would be sans pictures. So now maybe you realize the significance of what happened at our dinner last night and know why I count it as a personal triumph.

So anyway, without further ado, I present to you our dessert...

A mini chocolate cake with a chocolate sauce center topped with raspberry sauce and fresh whipped cream

Susan (jecskc) & family arrived at Disney World yesterday morning and she sent us this first update last night.


Susan said, "We got up SUPER early - at 2 AM and headed to Disney. On the way, we stopped for breakfast at the Waffle House."

Then Susan said, "We arrived at WDW around 9:30 AM and checked in to SSR. We caught the boat to Downtown Disney and later on, we had lunch at WPE."

Susan said, "Out of this world good as usual."

Susan said, "Just the kids and I had this one helping of their Chicken Nuggets with house made chips. These were fresh out of the fryer and still hot and steaming. Very delicious!! We weren't very hungry, so this was enough for the three of us."
