We are coming in the third week of November with our adult kids and would like to schedule a Keys to the Kingdom and Very Merry Christmas party. How should we schedule our Magic Kingdomw days around these event or in combo? We will be there the 17th to the 23rd (at Universal the 16th-17) I do see that Christmas party is available on the 17th, 19th , 21 and 22nd during our stay. (KTTk are not posted yet.) Also, if we are coming from a universal park (with all of our things in the car) which park is best for this? Thanks so much!

I went last November but only did the Christmas party. I would highly recommend doing a half resort / rest day for the party if possible. You are able to enter MK around 4 pm I believe . Otherwise you’d be exhausted before it’s started. Can’t speak for the keys to the kingdom but I can imagine that’s a lot of walking too!

thank you! Was wondering if it should be a stand alone event? Perhaps with a waterpark day?

Just be flexible regarding waterpark idea. December weather is unpredictable. Check the weather within 10 days of your trip to see what you’re getting. We have had days in full jackets and days in short sleeves, etc.

Oops…just noticed you are going in Nov. I will leave my info for those considering Dec trip

It is the 3rd week of Nov so close to December. We have gone to Nov before...one day sweatshirts and the others shorts. Mixed bag for sure

Hopefully you don’t get torrential rain like I did . Unfortunately nearly everything was cancelled though we did get to see some sort of firework display.

I would do the Tuesday or Thursday party. You can enter MK at 4 pm on a party day, so I would not recommend going to a water park as you would have to cut your day short to get ready to go to the party. I would also not do KTTK on a party day as those tours start fairly early.

Where are you staying? If you are transferring from a Uni hotel to a different hotel, I would drop your bags with your second hotel's bell services before going to a Disney park.

We are staying at Portofino Bay for the first night, spending the day at Universal then moving to BWV. We could have an a food order delivered. I got it a little confused. Our first night is at PBR, then the next 7 at BWV.

You will have Express Pass from Portofino Bay right? I would want to stay and enjoy both Universal parks with the express pass as long as possible that day.

yes..we will but only doing one park..yes it may be a late night to check in...may not be the best plan now that I think about it :)

Just to clarify - you are spending the night of the 17th at Portofino Bay, going to a Uni park on the 18th and then driving to BWV that evening to check in? I'm confused about your comment that all of your stuff will be in your car? Why not leave it with bell services?

You are correct and I was confused. We are spending the night of the 16th at Portofino Bay, doing Universal the 17th-so our bags could be stored at PBR..then 17th-24th at BWV. Sorry about the confusion

No worries! Personally, I would keep them with bell services (I get nervous leaving things in my car). I would then pick the Tues. or Thurs. party.
